None of that would have happened without the inspiration and dynamic encouragement of wonderful Daisy, the gallant woman of God who had been my wife, In our nearly fifty-four years together, we had never had an argument. I never heard her speak or hint a negative word or thought. Never had I seen her hesitate in life-threatening circumstances. This vivacious lady had cheered me, encouraged me, believed with me in ministry, and had been a source of constant and unrelenting optimism, solace and reassuring buoyancy. She was indomitable in spirit, relentless in courage, dynamic in attitude, positive in planning, incredibly generous in giving, powerful in witness and ministry, inspiring in life, dedicated in service to people, determined in crusades, faithful in love. Now I was holding in my arms the physical remains of this beloved teammate. Her spirit was gone. Her mortal house of clay was empty. Her life had been fulfilled. She was motionless. I could not comprehend life without Daisy’s exhilarating companionship. All I had ever accomplished in ministry had sprung from her reassuring positivism and vivacious dynamism.
