Welcome to REACHYouth.SG!

At REACHYouth.SG, we want to connect with Singaporean youths and promote active citizenry from young! Passionate YAs have started this group to provide an avenue for fellow YAs to:

Connect and share their concerns about national issues
Share ways or interesting ideas to engage their peers on national issues
Keep updated on upcoming events

Click the ‘Notifications’ tab under the group’s photo if you are accessing the group from a desktop and click on the ‘All Posts’ option. On a mobile device, click on the arrow next to the group’s photo, click on the ‘Edit Notifications settings’ tab on the sub-page and click on ‘All Posts’ and ‘Push Notifications’. To ensure that all members get the most out of this space and to keep this space a civil and pleasant space for all users, we would like to seek your cooperation to adhere to the following house rules when posting any content, comment or status in this group.

• Respect privacy – do not post content that infringes or violates someone else’s rights or privacy

• Keep discussions friendly and within the group – do not share discussions within the group with anyone outside the group, unless with the permission of the peers in your group. This includes not sharing screenshots of discussions in the group with anyone outside the group.

• Treat others with respect – keep your comments civil and avoid hostile remarks. If you disagree with someone, we can still be polite.

• Don't mislead or confuse others – the administrators do not control or pre-screen all the content posted and as such, does not guarantee the accuracy, integrity or quality of content. This means that you are entirely responsible for the information that you post.

• Don't spam or troll – to engage everyone, let’s try to stay on topic. Avoid trolling to bait other members to reply.

• Stick to lawful discussion and content – the last thing we want is for the group to be shut down. By that, we mean not posting copyrighted materials, defamatory remarks or content that incites violence. If in doubt, please refer to the REACH's Term of Use and Facebook’s Terms and Policies.

• Please notify the administrator, if you think any content posted has violated our house rules. The administrator reserves the right to remove any content that is deemed inappropriate. The house rules will also be amended and updated from time to time and as and when necessary.

On 3 and 4 February 2018, close to 100 participants from the Universities, Private Education Institutes, Polytechnics and Junior Colleges had a chance to try their hands at drafting Bills and debating them as Parliamentarians in the Singapore Model Parliament 2018.

They also had a chance to have candid discussions with Speaker Tan Chuan-Jin and Minister Ong Ye Kung about national issues.
