Westwood Primary School is proud to be part of the Redesigning Pedagogy International Conference 2026 (RPIC 2026).
Our presentation shared how human-centred AI-enabled adaptive learning in Primary Mathematics can support self-directed learning, adaptive thinking, and equitable growth through meaningful partnerships between pupils, teachers, and parents.
We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to conversations on future-ready learning and educational innovation alongside educators and researchers from around the world.

Our Primary 2 pupils had an exciting time taking on the β€œYes I Can! You Can!” challenge during THRIVE Week Day 2! Through hands-on tasks such as folding clothes, tying shoelaces, packing their bags, tidying tables and wringing cloths, pupils learnt important life skills while developing organisation skills, teamwork and a growth mindset. Pupils also explored their creativity and teamwork by building Strawbees catapults and competing to see whose creation could launch objects the furthest! They also participated in a class-bonding game in which they passed messages to one another, strengthening communication, teamwork, and class relationships.

Today, our students participated enthusiastically in the Westwood Clean Movement by cleaning their classrooms and common spaces around the school under the guidance of their teachers. πŸ§ΉπŸ’š

Through this meaningful activity, students not only helped to create a cleaner and more pleasant learning environment, but also developed a stronger sense of responsibility, teamwork, discipline, and respect for shared spaces. These values and experiences will stay with them beyond the classroom and helps them understand that every small effort can make a positive difference.

Well done to all our students for showing care, initiative and community spirit! Together, we create a better place to learn and grow. πŸ‘

Our P1 Parent-Child Bonding Event was filled with warmth, laughter and meaningful moments! From enjoying breakfast together and participating in fun games to sharing words of appreciation and snuggling up for our β€œSilly Socks, Happy Hearts” read-along session, parents and children created precious memories throughout the day. Parents and children also came dressed in their cool and funky socks, and even designed their very own sock puppets after the storytelling session! Thank you to all parents for taking time to be part of this special day with your child!

Our Primary 1 pupils had a meaningful time on the first day of THRIVE Week programme, learning about Growth Mindset and resilience through engaging Instant Challenges and β€œI Can!” hands-on activities. From creating art pieces using β€œrejected” materials to building towers with their own height goals, pupils learnt that mistakes are part of learning and that perseverance helps them grow stronger and more confident each day. Pupils also had fun participating in the class bonding games.

What an exciting and meaningful THRIVE Days it has been for our Middle Primary pupils!
Throughout the two days, our pupils had many opportunities to grow, bond, and THRIVE through a series of engaging and enriching activities beyond the classroom. From Character & Leadership Training infused with Growth Mindset elements, to hands-on teamwork activities facilitated by both our teachers and external trainers, our pupils learnt valuable lessons about resilience, confidence, and working together. πŸ’ͺ🌱
Our Primary 3 pupils also took part in ICT Baseline Training, sharpening their digital skills for the future, while two classes enjoyed a meaningful learning journey to the Kreta Ayer Heritage Gallery as part of their Character & Citizenship Education lessons. πŸ›οΈπŸ“š
And of course, what better way to wrap up THRIVE Days and the school semester than with a fun-filled Potluck! Our P3 pupils came together to share food, laughter, and wonderful memories with their classmates, celebrating friendships and the joy of learning together. ❀️
It was truly a semester filled with growth, discovery, teamwork, and lots of smiles! 🌟
