The Political Science and Current Affairs Society (POLITICAS) aims to bring together young, like-minded individuals in National Junior College and provide formal training for not only Model United Nations Conferences (which nevertheless will be the society’s main (focus), but other conferences such as but not limited to the Singapore Model Parliament, Model ASEAN, current affairs quizzes and the n
ational budget quiz, while serving as a platform for students to discuss global affairs on a deeper analytical level. Together with NJC’s mission of being the ‘College of the Nation, home of scholars and leaders who will serve with honor’, we strive to develop students of today with the passion for politics, equipping them with crucial skills needed for possibly leading our country in the near future, preparing and nurturing potential future leaders of the country. In this age and time, it has never been more important for a millennial to be civic minded and politically aware of local and global issues. As a diplomat and a leader, our vision reflects NJC’s school mission of providing a home for leaders who serve with honor.
