We were delighted to host Methodist Welfare Services at PCS Cedar Tree AAC Care - Potong Pasir 108, and thank them for gaining deeper insights into inclusive employment while partnering us in this shared mission.

During the visit, our guests had the opportunity to observe our π‘ͺπ’‚π’“π’†π‘¨π’ƒπ’Šπ’π’Šπ’•π’Šπ’†π’” π‘·π’“π’π’ˆπ’“π’‚π’Žπ’Žπ’† (π‘ͺ𝑨𝑷) interns in action. The interns befriended seniors and assisted with social and recreational activities β€” demonstrating how inclusive employment builds confidence and creates meaningful impact. It was encouraging to hear that the MWS team gained deeper insights into π‘ͺ𝑨𝑷 and were impressed by what our interns are capable of achieving.

π‘ͺ𝑨𝑷 addresses a critical gap: persons with special needs often face under-employment, while community care organisations face manpower shortages β€” highlighting the opportunity for community care organisations to build a sustainable pool of talent.

Our π‘ͺπ’‚π’“π’†π‘¨π’ƒπ’Šπ’π’Šπ’•π’Šπ’†π’” π‘·π’“π’π’ˆπ’“π’‚π’Žπ’Žπ’† (π‘ͺ𝑨𝑷) trainees assisted during the AAC on Wheels @ Potong Pasir Blk 136 Pavilion session on 29 April 2026, supporting seniors through engaging and meaningful activities. They applied what they learnt in the classroom and helped facilitate games such as Boccia, Disc Golf, and Rummy O, while encouraging active participation and social interaction.
Similar to this session, CAP features many opportunities for hands-on learning through simulated training and internships. This helps trainees apply what they have learnt to become competent Care Support Assistants once they graduate.

At a recent session of π€ππšπ©π­πšπ›π₯𝐞 𝐓𝐑𝐒𝐧𝐀𝐒𝐧𝐠@𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐀 π‹πžπ―πžπ₯ 𝟐: π‘·π’“π’π’ƒπ’π’†π’Ž-π‘Ίπ’π’π’—π’Šπ’π’ˆ session, trainees explored the topic β€œHow Will I Go About It?”. Trainees actively engaged in discussions and hands-on activities that encouraged collaboration and strengthened their problem-solving skills. These are key skills that are vital in the workplace and help boost the employability of trainees.
