Poor Chua. He really thought something was wrong with the boat. 😂

The ops boys called him over looking suitably serious, and being Chua, he immediately came over concerned and ready to sort out whatever had gone wrong.

Except… nothing had. 😏

It was all an elaborate excuse to get him there so the guys could surprise him with a birthday gift.

For someone who’s usually making sure everything and everyone is taken care of, it was nice to turn the tables and catch our Land Operations Manager completely off guard for once.

If you’ve been on a RHIB Ride, Chua may already be a familiar face. Behind the scenes, he’s also someone well respected by the people who work alongside him.

And sometimes company culture isn’t something you need to talk about.

It’s simply in moments like these.

Happy Birthday, Chua! 🎂

Although judging from that initial panic, we’re not entirely sure the surprise was good for his heart. 😂

It’s always been about the people.

Last weekend, some of our Kairos team were out at the Marine & Fishing Expo, meeting the public and sharing a little about what we do at RHIB Rides.

But days like these are also about something else.

Working alongside one another. Sharing what we know. Stepping in where needed. Grabbing a meal together when there’s finally a moment to sit down. And, judging by these photos, finding time for a little nonsense along the way. 😄

Because a good team isn’t built only when there’s work to be done.

It’s built in all those ordinary moments in between.

These are some of the people behind RHIB Rides.

And we thought it was time you got to know them a little better.

Proud to serve Singapore, on the water. 🇸🇬

You may know our RHIBs from our tours, taking guests out to experience Singapore from a different perspective.

But tourism is only one part of what we do.

This National Day, our boats and coxswains were also out on the water supporting safety and security operations — another side of Kairos, and another example of the work our team does beyond tourism.

Behind every RHIB are people who train together, work together and take pride in what they do.

For a proudly Singaporean company, having our people and boats play a part in our nation’s 61st birthday celebrations made this one particularly special. 🇸🇬

And we’re growing our team.

And just like that, the National Day long weekend is over.

Some spent it catching up on sleep, some headed across the border… and some of our guests chose to spend part of theirs out on Singapore’s southern waters with us.

Our 8 August ride was a pretty fitting way to head into the celebrations — seeing home from a completely different perspective, with a little speed, sea spray and stories of the islands along the way.

Because sometimes you don’t need to leave Singapore to feel like you’ve gone somewhere.
