US-ASEAN Strategic Business Forum

PYT Datin Paduka High Commissioner of Malaysia to Singapore attended the US-ASEAN Strategic Business Forum held at EDITION Singapore, together with MITI Singapore, highlighting the importance of strengthening business ties and deepening economic cooperation between the US and ASEAN.

A valuable opportunity for PYT to also catch up with Minister Dr Tan See Leng - Minister for Trade and Industry (Energy and Industry), Kishore Mahbubani - Distinguished Fellow at the Asia Research Institute (ARI) at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Steve Okun - Founder and CEO, APAC Advisor exchanging views on regional developments, business opportunities and the future of ASEAN-US relations.

The High Commissioner of Malaysia, Her Excellency Datin Paduka Anizan Siti Hajjar Adnin paid an introductory call on Mr. Albert Chua, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Singapore. Both sides exchanged views on the progress made in strengthening bilateral relations between Malaysia and Singapore.

Malaysia expressed support for Singapore's preparation towards ASEAN Chairmanship in 2027. Both sides discussed aspects of regional integration in ASEAN that could be pursued further in the future.

🇲🇾 Commemorating Malaysia’s 69th National Day 🇲🇾

The High Commission of Malaysia in Singapore today, 31 August 2026, commemorated Malaysia’s 69th National Day with a Flag Raising Ceremony held at Rumah Malaysia, graced by Datin Paduka Anizan Siti Hajjar Adnin, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Singapore.

The raising of the Jalur Gemilang was a solemn and meaningful moment, evoking the sacrifices and aspirations that shaped our nation, while reaffirming our enduring commitment to the values of unity, sovereignty, patriotism and national service.

As Malaysia marks this significant milestone in its nation-building journey, we reflect with pride on the progress achieved while looking ahead with confidence and determination towards a stronger, more inclusive, resilient and prosperous Malaysia, guided by the aspirations of Malaysia MADANI.

The ceremony brought together officers and staff of the High Commission and their families in a shared expression of national pride and solidarity, reinforcing the enduring spirit of Merdeka among Malaysians abroad.

From Singapore, the High Commission extends its warmest greetings and best wishes to all Malaysians at home and around the world.

On 27 August 2026, the High Commissioner of Malaysia to Singapore, H.E. Datin Paduka Anizan Siti Hajjar Adnin had an introductory call on the Director-General of the Southeast Asia I Directorate, Mr. Laurence Bay.

During the meeting, both sides shared fond recollections of experiences and friendships from the early years of their service. Their discussion focused on the importance of maintaning strong bilateral relations across all levels including young officers, in advancing shared mandates and interests while preserving the spirit of friendship.

They also discussed on key priorities on the bilateral agenda for the remainder of this year and 2027, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to further deepening relations and cooperation.

On 26 August 2026, the High Commissioner of Malaysia to Singapore, H.E. Datin Paduka Anizan Siti Hajjar Adnin met with Permanent Secretary (Policy), Mr. Luke Goh as an introductory call.

The meeting included a discussion on the structure and roles of the Ministry’s senior leadership, as well as the importance of the warm and close relations between the leaders of both countries in translating bilateral ties into tangible cooperation.

Both sides reaffirmed their readiness to provide support and assistance to further strengthening the close partnership and advancing shared interests between Malaysia and Singapore.
