Last weekend, Cheng Hong Welfare Service Society (CHWSS) was pleased to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Sree Narayana Mission Singapore (SNM), together with the (RCS), to provide training and strengthen the capabilities of our volunteers.

We believe that when we empower our volunteers, we empower our community.

Through this meaningful partnership, we hope to nurture more confident, compassionate and capable volunteers who can make a difference in the lives of those who need our care.

Mdm Ngai Kee is 84. She speaks fondly of the Cheng Hong volunteers, how they visit her, how caring they are. But even with that warmth, living alone, one question stays with her. When her time comes, who would be there to arrange things, if no one is around.

Cheng Hong's Afterlife Memorial Service helps seniors like Mdm Ngai plan ahead, so she does not have to face it alone.

Mdm Ngai Kee, 84, speaks warmly of the Cheng Hong volunteers who visit and care for her. Yet, living alone, she quietly wonders, “When my time comes, who will be there for me?” Cheng Hong’s Afterlife Memorial Service gives seniors like Mdm Ngai peace of mind, knowing they will not have to face their final journey alone.
