A lovely morning at Commonwealth Close’s Brunch with Love, catching up with residents over good food and warm conversations.

It was especially nice meeting the Lim family, including Della and Dawson. Della also proudly shared the story behind her 7-Eleven T-shirt with me. A small but memorable moment that brought smiles all around. 😊

Stepping into Mr Raju’s home felt like stepping back in time. 😊

At 68, he has built an impressive collection of photographs of his favourite stars, old coins and even a photograph of the late Mr Lee Kuan Yew as a baby.

Each item carries a memory, and it was heartwarming to hear the stories behind the treasures he has carefully kept over the years.

Good news for residents at Holland Close and Commonwealth Avenue! 🎉

I visited the HIP Polling Centre and Showroom at Blk 32 Holland Close, where residents viewed the proposed improvements and cast their votes.

All seven blocks achieved at least 75% “Yes” votes, giving HIP the green light! 🏠

Thank you to our residents for your strong support, and to our HDB colleagues, Buona Vista Zone B RN and Zone C RN volunteers for reaching out and assisting residents throughout the polling exercise.

Looking forward to better and more comfortable homes for everyone!

It was a privilege to welcome more than 100 new Singapore citizens from Tanjong Pagar GRC, Queenstown and Radin Mas at our Citizenship Ceremony this weekend.

Each has taken a different journey to make Singapore their home. What brings us together is our shared commitment to contribute, care for one another and build a better future together.

Good food brings people in, but familiar faces keep them coming back. 😊

Enjoyed catching up with our hawkers and residents at this well-loved neighbourhood spot. Some came for breakfast, others for a quick chat but everyone seemed to know someone here.

Glad to meet Adam and Hemi during my house visit. They have lived in the neighbourhood for four years and have four children, three in the US and one in Singapore. Despite the distance, the family makes it a point to gather once a year.

They also asked about my move from education to defence. Interestingly, I still meet many NSFs whom I first met during my time in education. Some had just completed their A-Levels then and they still recognise me today!

A fun-filled morning at the Buona Vista Family Sports Day! 🎳🏓

From giant bowling to balancing challenges, our young participants kept trying and gave every game their best. It was wonderful to see families cheering one another on and enjoying the activities together.

Glad to meet 90-year-old Mdm Yeo at 112 Jalan Bukit Merah Market and Food Centre today. 🥬❤️

For the past 60 years, she has dedicated herself to her vegetable stall. Today, her two daughters, son and son-in-law work alongside her to carry on the family business.

Mdm Yeo feels blessed to be well cared for by her children, and we are equally inspired to see her still healthy, strong and active at the stall.

Wishing Mdm Yeo continued good health and many more happy years with her family!

Safer and friendlier streets for everyone in Buona Vista. 🚶‍♀️🚦

The new Buona Vista Friendly Streets feature new and improved crossings, green road markings and road humps to encourage motorists to slow down.

These improvements will make everyday journeys safer and more convenient, especially for our seniors and families travelling to the market, eateries, community club and nearby MRT stations.

Let’s continue to look out for one another on the road.
