【本地】连续第六年不开放除夕抢头香

四马路观音堂连续六年不开放除夕夜抢头柱香，三代人都在庙前摆摊逾60年卖鲜花的摊主慨叹，这里少了往年的热闹气氛，也无法再做凌晨的生意，只好提前回家过年。
往年除夕迈入初一之际，都有不少善信到庙宇插头香以祈求新年迎好运。在冠病疫情前，本地不少庙宇也都会在除夕彻夜开放，尤其四马路观音堂都会在那时迎来上万名香客，香火鼎盛。
　　但自从2021年因冠病疫情，该庙首度暂停插头香活动后，至今都不曾复办。根据庙宇日前所张贴的告示，今年同样不会举行插头香活动。
家族三代都在庙宇外售卖香烛和鲜花的“Cat Happy Flower”摊主凯特琳（72岁）受访时说，她也有听闻庙方今年仍旧取消插头柱香活动，她届时也将会根据庙方的时间提前收档。（曾薪机、吴依瑾报道 ）（图：档案照）
