The trip to Taman Warisan Melayu or Malay Heritage Centre was well attended by 37 residents consiting of members of Nanyang CC MAEC & Volunteers, members of Nanyang CC IAEC and several Chinese residents of Nanyang who came to know about the event from posters at Nanyang CC office.

Our bua arrived at Taman Warisan Melayu at about 12:50pm and we were greeted by officials from MESRA immediately upon alighting deom the bus. We were then escorted to the event proper by the same official.

Those who came with us had great time enjoying the various activities including silat, dikir barat, gamelan and angklung performances or hands-on activities like hand fan making, drone soccer and many more.

Later at 2:30pm our non-Malay muslim friends had the opportunity to join a guided tour of Sultan mosque and see its grandeur interior.

After all the play and tours the group split into those who preferred nasi padang lunch at Rumah Minah and hi-tea at NSH Cafe.

We boarded the same bus and departed from Taman Warisan Melayu exactly at 5pm.

Nanyang CC akan adakan Acara National Day Carnival pada Sabtu 8 Ogos 2026 dari jam 5:30ptg hingga 9:30malam.

Di acara ini juga ada saudara Iskandar Ismail dan Roslan Shah.

🌿✨ NANYANG MAEC WEST COAST PARK CLEAN-UP 19/07/26 ✨🌿

Alhamdulillah, we are grateful for the success of this morning’s Nanyang MAEC West Coast Park Clean-Up at West Coast Park.

The morning began with a sumptuous breakfast, bringing everyone together sitting together of benches or on mats at the park ground, in a warm and friendly atmosphere. Participants were split into 4 teams, then enjoyed a competitive and exciting treasure hunt and fun-filled quizzes, creating laughter, teamwork, and wonderful memories for families and friends alike.

The highlight of the event was the litter-picking and park clean-up activity, where participants came together with great enthusiasm to help keep West Coast Park clean, green, and beautiful for everyone to enjoy. All in all we collected 9 x 40 litre bags of litter. At the end of the day everyone one was declared Champions in keeping Singapore clean.

Beyond cleaning the park, the event promoted environmental responsibility, strengthened community bonds, and demonstrated the spirit of volunteerism that makes our neighbourhood stronger. Every small act of kindness towards our environment contributes to a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable Singapore.

A heartfelt thank you to all participants, volunteers, Nanyang MAEC committee members, Staff or Nanyang CC Mr Latiff & Mdm Faridah, Nanyang CCMC for funding the event, Sponsors of the Nanyang National Day Carnival tickets, NEA for supporting the event, NParks for their approvaland and everyone who contributed to the success of today’s event. Your enthusiasm, dedication, and community spirit made the morning truly meaningful.

Together, let us continue to care for our environment, strengthen our community, and inspire others to make a positive difference. Next clean up will be on 8th August 2026 after our Carnival. Join us at Blk 817 and 832 Jurong West.

Pada 8 Mei 2026, seramai 50 peserta dari Nanyang telah berpeluang menyaksikan rancangan Sheng Siong Live Raya Show 2026 di Mediacorp Studio 1, yang disiarkan secara langsung di TV Suria pada jam 8.30 malam. Pengalaman istimewa ini bukan sahaja memberi hiburan yang meriah, malah turut mengeratkan silaturahim dan semangat kebersamaan dalam kalangan peserta yang hadir.
