Singapore and the International Finance Corporation share a strong and longstanding partnership, and there is more to build on together.
Minister Indranee Rajah met with IFC Managing Director Makhtar Diop recently to discuss deepening collaboration on private capital mobilisation and regional connectivity. With Singapore's ASEAN Chairmanship in 2027 on the horizon, partnerships like this will only grow in importance.

Delighted to welcome International Finance Corporation (IFC) Managing Director Makhtar Diop on his recent visit to Singapore to deliver a special address at the Asia Infrastructure Forum.
It was good to meet Makhtar again, following our discussion at the World Bank–IMF Spring Meetings in Washington, D.C. earlier this year.
Singapore and IFC share a strong and longstanding partnership. Building on our earlier conversations, we discussed how we can deepen collaboration on private capital mobilisation to support growth and connectivity across our region. As we look ahead to Singapore’s ASEAN Chairmanship in 2027, there will be valuable opportunities to strengthen such regional partnerships.
