Blue House Nursery & International Preschool had grown at a rapid pace from 2 classrooms to over 10 in just 5 years, catering to children in our Nursery from 18 months to 3 years, and in our Big Blue House for children 3 – 6 years. We had
however a pressing need to provide a meaningful and creative space for children under 3 who we felt, were largely under-catered for. Our first Infant & Toddler Atelier at our Turf City campus was lovingly designed with natural light, warm colour tones and specific equipment flown direct from Reggio Emilia in Italy. We created a series of provocative and unique programs allowing those in their early years to further explore light, space, texture and a vast range of age-necessary sensory experiences. The Infant & Toddler Atelier became the crowning jewel in the Blue House story. The Atelier is completely unique in Singapore and is seen throughout the region and as far as Europe and the US as an example of best practice and a source of inspiration for the wider early years education industry. Our Preschool and Infant & Toddler Atelier remain a family run business, and we are proud to have established ourselves as a leading Reggio Emilia Inspired school with a reputation amongst families and fellow educators for creating a unique, warm and welcoming environment.
