Presenting the highlights from this year’s iteration of Top Guns Forum!

On 15 May 2026, NUSPA hosted one of its flagship events, the Top Guns Forum, featuring esteemed guest panellists Ms Rahayu Mahzam, Mr Andre Low, Mr Lawrence Pek, Dr Paul Tambyah, and moderator Dr Gillian Koh.

They shared valuable perspectives on pertinent issues concerning Singapore’s future such as the changing definitions of the Singaporean identity and the navigation of our digital space. This year’s theme, “Together into a New Era: Thriving in an Uncertain Future,” reflected the forum’s goal of providing a platform for youths to discuss their aspirations for the nation. Participants actively posed questions about Singapore’s future which were thoughtfully addressed by our esteemed panellists.

On the 20th of March, NUSPA had the honour of hosting Ambassador Ong Keng Yong as Distinguished Guest Speaker and Assistant Professor Elvin Ong as Moderator at the NUS Global Asia Forum 2026.

Themed “ASEAN Cooperation, Diversification of Global Partnerships”, this year’s forum explored a range of issues, including how national interests enable or limit cohesion and partnerships in ASEAN as well as the continued importance of consensus-building in the organisation.

We are deeply grateful to Ambassador Ong Keng Yong for generously sharing his wisdom and drawing on his experience navigating the world of foreign policy. We also extend our appreciation to Assistant Professor Elvin Ong for expertly guiding the conversation. A heartful thank you as well to all attendees who contributed to the forum with enthusiasm and thoughtful engagement during the Q&A segment.
