Scammers have lured victims into fake investment chat groups by pretending to be investment experts and offering โ€œfree investment lessonsโ€.

Victims are enticed to โ€œinvestโ€ through false promises of attractive returns and fabricated testimonials from purported chat group members.

More than $5.4 million has been lost to Government Officials Impersonation Scams (GOIS) since April 2026. ๐Ÿ˜ฑ

Scammers, impersonating Government officials, have been accusing victims of being involved in criminal activities.

They have asked victims to make cash transfers via ATMs to โ€˜safety accountsโ€™ for investigation purposes.

Remember!

โ€ผ๏ธ Government officials, including the Police, will NEVER ask you to transfer money or hand over valuables (e.g. cash, gold, cryptocurrency) over a phone call.
