The PDC Center for High Performance Computing at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology provides leading HPC services to Swedish academia as part of the Swedish National Infrastructure for Computing (SNIC) as well as to Swedish industry and internationally via the Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe (PRACE) infrastructure. Those services include supercomputing and storage resources plus as
sistance from a range of application experts. PDC is also involved with various national and international projects and research centers. The main HPC system at PDC is Beskow, a Cray XC40 with 53632 cores and a peak performance of nearly 2 petaflops. The PDC resources are made available without cost for academic research via the SNIC and PRACE (Partnership for Advanced Computing in Europe) infrastructures, while industrial collaborations are undertaken after discussion directly with PDC. PDC also offers expert support for a wide range of scientific and industrial research applications, and is heavily involved in a number of European initiatives. PDC works with industrial and academic researchers and developers on major international projects that are taking high performance computing (HPC) to the next level.
