The Eurovision Song Contest is finally back! Australia, Finland, Latvia and Sweden are all competing this week in Vienna.

Delta Goodrem – one of Australia’s most accomplished artists – is representing us this year with the powerful song ‘Eclipse’. 🇦🇺

Tonight, Tuesday, Sweden’s Felicia and Finland’s Linda Lampenius & Pete Parkkonen take part in the first semi-final. On Thursday, Latvia’s Atvara and Australia’s Delta Goodrem will be hoping to secure their spots in the Grand Final, which takes place this Saturday at the Wiener Stadthalle. We wish them best of luck and lots of fun!

Best wishes to all who will enjoy the festivities of the Eurovision week, and don’t forget to vote for Australia and Delta Goodrem!

A real honour to attend the annual diplomatic corps dinner in Helsinki this month. Many thanks to President Alexander Stubb and Suzanne Innes-Stubb for such a warm and memorable evening.

As Australia's Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has said dialogue and diplomacy are essential to understanding. Especially now, we must work together to succeed.

Kiitos, presidentti Stubb!

ANZAC Day brings together service and remembrance across countries.

At Exercise Comprehensive Shield 26, a combined joint staff exercise delivered by Swedish and Norwegian defence universities to prepare officers for roles in NATO and allied multinational headquarters, Australian veteran Associate Professor Aaron P. Jackson marked the occasion alongside international counterparts.

To commemorate the day, a service was held across the Joint Operations Centre. Brigadier (Norway) Ole Anders Øie reflected on attending a Multinational Force and Observers Dawn Service in the Sinai alongside Australian and New Zealand forces, a powerful reminder of shared service.

An address followed on the meaning of ANZAC Day, inviting participants to reflect not only on its history and relevance, but also on a closer connection: Australian and New Zealand servicemen laid to rest in Norway and Sweden.
A minute’s silence and the Ode to the Fallen brought all participants together in remembrance.

Lest we forget.
