Statement in Support and Solidarity for Samira, and for Everyone engaged in the struggle in Gaza, the West Bank and Palestine

Nattsvart makes this statement in support of Samira, a comrade who traveled to Palestine to engage in human rights work in the wake of the genocidal actions of the israeli state in its decades long occupation of Palestine, and its recent gruesomely elevated violence towards Palestinians there. Samira is awaiting deportation, and is carrying out a hunger strike in protest of their imprisonment at the hands of israel, and to protest the wider fact that human rights activists in Gaza, the West Bank and other places across the Palestinian territory occupied by the israeli state are being randomly detained, subjected to physical and sexual violence and also executed by army personnel, settlers and other supporters of the israeli state.

We support Samira, and call for their immediate release, along with the release of ALL prisoners detained by the israeli state, and the cessation of the brutal, genocidal attack on Gaza, as well as settler and israeli state and army violence in the West Bank and throughout Palestine.

Hi everyone! As you might know, Nattsvart Verkstad's space in Högdalen is now closed. We moved out but we still haven't found a new home for our activities. We are spatially challenged until further notice.

This does not mean that we've gone inactive. It means that we will have to continue our activities without our own space for a while. We still don't know how long that will be since we are trying to choose our new space carefully so that we can address longstanding issues with the old space. When we open again we hope to be warmer. We intend to be more accessible to people with a wider spectrum of disabilities. We intend to be easier to visit. We intend to get serious about the kind of organizing that is needed to go beyond the comfort zone of the tired and shrinking autonomous left. This could take some time, but that's ok since we can use this time to reflect on how we have failed and succeeded - how we can be a better resource for the anarchist movement. We want to strategize, consider our options, and come back more in line with what we want to achieve as anarchists in Stockholm.

The activities that we will continue without the space include organized letter writing to anarchist prisoners, workshops about anarchist basics, history, and other practical projects. We will even continue to support and involve ourselves in the transaid events. We also are working on beginning a few new campaigns that we're not ready to go public with yet.

We write this to be transparent about our costs and intentions since it's y'all who are largely paying the bills. Right now we're paying about 1000 sek per month for storage and other small costs. That cost was about 10000 sek before and will probably go back to a similar amount after we find a new space. If you are currently donating money to us on a monthly basis and feel like you're not super into paying for storage and supporting our current scaled-back projects email us to change or stop your donations. We hope that you continue to donate in order to help us build up our reserves for when we actually get our next space and for the costs that arise with our space-less activities.

In the beginning there was blood. And sacrifice. And debauchery.

The winter holidays are coming and many of are struggling with a certain tension. On one hand, Christianity has been of the most terrible forces known to history. A tool of Empire, Colonialism, Repression, Patriarchy, Racism, the list goes on and on. On the other hand, the traditions of midwinter are, well, fun as hell! Days of drinking, gift giving, eating and cooking , drinking some more, being with those we care about most, if possible. The good news is that none of the fun stuff comes from the vampire death cult. The joyous traditions come from other places. Older places.

We all know about Romans giving gifts under the gaze of Saturn and the decorations of trees, all far from the tyrannical church. We know about the caring and the spirit of togetherness helping us find each other in the cold darkness of the years longest night. We know that there is life under the snow and that the joyful traditions are neither Christian or bourgeois, they are things that come from the bottom, from us.

So let us remember that giving, sharing - togetherness ARE proletarian activities and that the Christians and bourgeoise can suck our fu***ng asses while we eat and drink and enjoy each other's fu***ng company.

But - There is another aspect of midwinter traditions, another arc in the old tales. There is a wild part of the pre-christian traditions, red in tooth and claw, if you want. Along with cakes and gifts there are creatures present ready to take vengeance or simply take the wild's due. The Wild Hunt, The Red Cap. For each Santa Claus there is a Krampus, a bag man, an uncle gunnysac. We have to also weigh this. We have to think about who the vengeful winter spirits are going to eat for breakfast.

Who are the naughty children in our story?

Well, the answer is simple if we think about it. The rich, the oil executives, the cops, security personnel, bootlickers, fascists, homophobes, the list goes on and Krampus is hungry!

Kärrtorp 10 år - ANTIFASCISM ÄR FORTFARANDE SJÄLVFÖRSVAR

Lördagen den 16 december bjuder Linje 17 mot rasism tillsammans med andra lokala och antifascistiska grupper in till en dag av evenemang för att minnas nazistattacken i Kärrtorp 2013.

Med avstamp i den gemensamma erfarenheten av att ha blivit angripna av beväpnade nazister, lyckats mota bort dem, och veckan därpå samla 16 000 människor på Kärrtorps IP i den största antirasistiska demonstrationen någonsin i Sverige, bjuder vi in till en dag i lokalorganiseringens tecken.

Attacken var inte bara en attack mot personerna som befann sig på torget den där decemberdagen, den var ett angrepp på alla de värden, mötesplatser och mellanmänskliga relationer vi värnar.

Att vi med gemensam kraft lyckades vända det till en antifascistisk seger är något som vi bär med oss nu, i en tid av ekonomisk, politisk och ekologisk kris, när vi återigen samlas på torget.

Vi kommer samman för att att kollektivt minnas det som hände och uppmärksamma och stärka organiseringen i vårt lokalsamhälle. Antifascism må ha plockats bort från den parlamentariska agendan, men vi finns kvar, och det är genom våra rötter som vi kopplas samman och står pall.

Programmet bjuder på musik och mat, en muntlig rekonstruktion av händelserna på torget med vittnesmål, en fotoutställning på Turteatern, filmvisning, panelsamtal med företrädare för lokala organisationer och antifascistiska grupper, och fika. Välkomna, alla!

Angrip Centralmakten, Avancera Befrielserörelsen

Den här månaden behöver vi prata om avskaffandet av polis och fängelse som en fortsättning av avskaffandet av slaveri. Å ena sidan finns det ett kul datum i december som gör det möjligt att diskutera: 13/12. Samtidigt, och mer allvarsamt, lever vi i en tid där den auktoritära makten växer och makten överlämnas till polisen utan minsta oro eller kritik, inte ens från den institutionella vänstern. Ännu värre är att allt detta sker med fascistiska krafter som utövar kontroll över staten, även om de använder sig av ombud.

Abolition, i den gamla bemärkelsen, har utvecklats till något nytt. De flesta av oss tänker på en gammal kamp som vi anser vara över för länge sedan: vi har vunnit över slaveriet. Men det är naturligtvis inte så makt och praktik har utvecklats bland människor. Slaveriet existerar fortfarande i många former, tillsammans med polisarbete, fängelser och många andra former av auktoritär kontroll. Uppfattningen att slaveri är oacceptabelt var, mer eller mindre, mainstream även under den franska revolutionen - även om det fortfarande existerade, till och med i de franska kolonierna. Det är viktigt att se polis och fängelser genom samma lins. Detta är institutioner som har kritiserats, älskats och hatats i olika grad under ganska lång tid. Vi är fortfarande inte där, inte ens kulturellt.

Det räcker med att se hur många polisförfaranden som fyller våra TV-, film- och massmedietjänster. Fängelser och polisarbete har, precis som slaveri och privat egendom, blivit ännu ett sätt att tvinga människor att arbeta i strid mot vad som verkligen är nyttigt i deras samhällen. Det finns många texter och referenser om polisarbetets ursprung. Vi nöjer oss här med att lista några av dessa institutioners historiska ursprung, så att läsarna kan leta upp den nödvändiga, djupare historien.

Friends and comrades,

It's getting cold again and we are starting to produce more alcohol heating units for people living in marginal spaces.

We are in need of both materials and people. As far as materials go we need

1) 5 cm diameter ceramic pots,

2) Alcohol for fuel, any type of alcohol will, in principle work. The pink one that is sold everywhere works just fine.

3)Small ceramic plates to act as a base.

4) Heat resistant epoxy.

5) Money is a magic resource that can get turned into anything, so we won't say no to that.

In terms of people help we need:

1) help at work days with building and testing.

2) Help with distribution, either organizationally or via going out to encampments and offering
heating units to individuals in need.

3) Broader ideas about how we could help our community when capitalism and the state fail.

3) Små keramik tallriker som bas till enheterna.

5) Pengar är en magisk resurs som kan bli andra grejer så vi kommer inte säga nej till det.

Angående mänsklig hjälp behöver vi

1) hjälp med att tillverka enheter.

2) Hjälp med utdelning av enheter genom organisationer eller direkt kontakt med folk som behöver värme.

3) Bredare idéer om hur vi kan hjälpa folk i dåliga ekonomiska läge.
