Ambassador Juliana Dube-Gobotswang was recently invited to attend the 503rd Swedish National Day Celebrations which started at the Skansen, Sweden’s oldest open air Museum and Zoo, and ended at His Majesty King Carl XVI Gustaf’s Royal Palace.
The Swedish National Day of 6 June marks two key moments in Swedish history: when Gustav Vasa became King in 1523 and the adoption of the 1809 Constitution.
The National Day itself only became a public holiday in 2005, prior to this, it was known as Swedish flag day.
Thank you to the Government of Sweden for the invitation to celebrate this special day with you!🇧🇼🤝🇸🇪
