Back in 2021, we took part in a Swedish TV show (”Det sitter i väggarna ”) about historic homes and the people who try to bring them back to life. At the time, we had only just begun our journey with this manor house – big dreams and endless plans ☺️

That episode ended up marking the true beginning of our renovation adventure. Since then, this place has challenged us, surprised us, exhausted us, and rewarded us in ways we never could have imagined. And somehow, we’re now stepping into year six here. That’s crazy!

What a place. What an adventure. And just to make things even more lively – we’ll soon be welcoming our fourth child into this beautiful, slightly chaotic circus 🤗

The episode hasn’t been available to watch for many years, but it’s finally back. So if you missed it the first time – or if you’re curious to see how it all started, before the dust, the tools, and the countless renovation projects – now’s your chance!

Link in the comments and in stories! Or check out the show archives of SVT online. Enjoy!

Note: the show is in Swedish, with Swedish subtitles. Apologies to our English-speaking friends 🤗

Peak weekend energy over here! 💫

Karl and his brothers spent the morning wrestling a fallen tree out in our park - chainsaws roaring, logs flying, full lumberjack mode. Moa kicked off her day in a much more festive arena: party games and juice box negotiations. Once the candles were blown out and the sugar levels peaked, she switched gears and joined the log brigade outside. A woman of range.

Kristina, meanwhile, hosted like a pro. Music, laughter, cake slices delivered with precision. No tears, no disasters, just pure almost-seven-year-old joy.

And tomorrow, we’re back with a new YouTube episode as we continue renovating Isabella’s room. Chainsaws today, paintbrushes tomorrow - balance, right?

Hope your weekend is equally productive and sugar-fuelled! ❤️

The dahlias are still dazzling us! Each morning we peek outside, holding our breath, but somehow they’ve made it through another chilly night. It feels like such a treat to have them here, painting the garden with color while everything else starts winding down.

There’s something so joyful about these late blooms. The crisp air, the golden light, and the dahlias standing tall as if to say, “not yet!” They’ve given us a little extra time to enjoy their beauty, and we’re soaking it all in ☺️

We love watching the seasons shift. Each one brings its own magic and its own energy. Summer was buzzing with activity, autumn wraps everything in warmth and light, and soon winter will bring its sparkle and calm. Just like the garden, we’re moving with it, learning, changing, and finding joy in each stage.

As Fleetwood Mac sings, the seasons keep turning, and so do we. For now, we’re just grateful - for the last dahlias, the sunshine on cool afternoons, and the feeling that every moment is worth celebrating! Enjoy your Sunday!

Rolling into the weekend with a mix of chores and fresh air 🍂 This week we had some pretty strong gusts of wind sweep through, and a couple of trees came down around the property. So, chainsaw duties are calling! Not the most glamorous job, but when the air is crisp, the skies are clear, and everything is still so green and alive, it’s hard not to enjoy being outside! ☺️

At the same time, we’re sneaking in some filming for our upcoming Q&A episode on YouTube (live this Sunday, as always 🙌). We had so many great questions sent in - can’t wait to share the answers with you all!

Wishing you a cozy, happy weekend wherever you are. Walter is bundled up, smiling, and waving hi to everyone 👋🏻

It’s the weekend at the manor and we’re easing into the day. Coffee first, projects second ☺️

While we get ready for whatever the house and garden throw at us, we’re also putting together a future Q&A episode for YouTube.

Curious how we handle the never-ending renovations? Want a peek at the garden plans? Wondering about the thrift treasures that sneak their way in? Or maybe how we juggle the family chaos without losing track (still a work in progress 😅).

Drop your questions below - big, small, serious, silly - and we’ll try to bring as many as we can into the episode. 🙌

We’re still smiling from Gustav & Moa’s big day, and now we finally have the evidence! The amazing .fotografi somehow managed to capture not just the “I do’s” but the vibe, the laughter and the happy tears (there were a lot of those…)

These photos aren’t just pictures, they’re time machines back to one of the most beautiful days ever. So grateful to Frida for giving us all this gift 🙌

And honestly, if you’re hunting for a wedding photographer (or a photographer for just about anything) - call Frida. She’s a magician with the camera! 📸💫

✨ Our circus is growing again ✨

Just one year after little Walter joined our lives, we find ourselves with the most joyful surprise: baby number four is on the way, expected in February! 💛

Some might call it chaos, but for us it’s the sweetest kind of madness. Life at the manor is already full of laughter, noise, muddy boots in the hallway, toys scattered in every corner, and a baby on each hip and yet, our hearts still found room for more.

Each child has been a gift we could never have fully imagined before they arrived. And now, to think we’ll soon welcome another tiny soul into our family… it makes us both humbled and overwhelmed with gratitude.

We know the coming months will be loud, messy, sleepless, and wonderfully imperfect. But that’s the beauty of it all; family is not about having it “all together,” but about holding each other together through it all.

So here’s to the love that multiplies, the joy that grows, and the adventure of parenting four little humans. Our circus tent is stretching wider, and our hearts are too ❤️ (Plus: it’s cut flower harvesting season…what’s not to love!)

It’s been a week since Gustav and Moa’s wedding, and what a wedding it was! ✨ A true celebration of love, filled with laughter, joy, and the kind of memories that will be retold for years to come. The feast, the dancing, the happiness in the air - it was all wrapped up in the magic of two people saying “yes” to one another. We are still smiling just thinking about it 💕

Now, back at the manor, we find ourselves enjoying something rare: peace and quiet. Thanks to all the pre-wedding preparations, the house is spotless, the garden is trimmed to perfection, and for once we don’t feel like we’re running behind. Instead, we’re allowing ourselves to exhale. I know, sounds weird just writing it 😄 Peace and quiet. Imagine that ☕🌿

There’s something so refreshing about sitting in a tidy garden, looking around, and just letting your thoughts wander. Of course, ours don’t stay idle for long… autumn is coming (well, not quite yet…), and with it, new projects. The question buzzing between us these past few days has been: What project should we tackle next? And then there’s the trickier one: What project do we WANT to tackle next? Sometimes those two answers don’t match up, and that’s when it gets interesting 😅

For now, though, we’re enjoying this little in-between moment. A pause before the next adventure, a chance to recharge and reflect. The calm before the hammering, digging, and sawing begins again. And that, in itself, feels like a gift. Happy Sunday folks! ❤️

Midsummer, you beautiful chaotic tradition 🌼

Yesterday was everything it should be - sunshine, laughter, dancing, food (so much food), and flower crowns.

Everyone got into it, and this year, three of our guests even showed up in full-on traditional folk costumes. Let’s just say the bar has officially been raised for next year…

We cooked, we danced around the maypole, we ate our weight in strawberries and potatoes. The kids ran wild, the grown-ups did too (but slightly slower).

Today? We’re keeping it simple. No timelines. No to-do lists. Just swims, naps (don’t judge…), and hanging out in the garden with family and friends. And honestly, that’s what it’s all about. A big celebration followed by a deep breath. Midsummer magic in two parts.

Glad Midsommar, everyone 💛

Exactly one year ago, we slid into some DMs… about wild boars.

That’s how we first connected with Anna and Philipp - bonding over lawn destruction and boar-related trauma. As one does. Then we noticed on Instagram that they were in Sweden picking up their new sailing boat, ready to head back to France. They were literally nearby. So, naturally, we did what any normal people would do: invited them to jump off their boat and come hang out with two total strangers in a big yellow manor…

Shockingly, and to our great excitement, they said yes.

What followed was one of those magical evenings where conversation just flows - from renovation chaos and house quirks to the highs and lows of sharing it all online. Anna and Philipp, already seasoned YouTube pros with their channel “How To Renovate A Chateau”, encouraged us to think about starting a channel of our own.

At first we were like… “Us? On YouTube?”
But they gently nudged us out of the comfort zone and into the world of filming, editing, and talking to a camera like it’s a friend. And somehow, here we are - still figuring it out, still occasionally filming with spinach in our teeth, but loving every step of it ☺️

Anna and Philipp - thank you ❤️
For saying yes to a weird invitation.
For the encouragement, the support, and the friendship.
You helped us take a leap - and we’re so, so glad we did.

We’re still learning. Still building. But thanks to your support - and the amazing response from all of you - this little channel has grown into something we’re truly proud of. We feel lucky to share our corner of the world with so many kind, curious, and generous people.

To everyone who’s followed along - in any format, on any platform - thank you. What a ride it’s been… and what a journey we’re on. We hope you want to stick with us. We have a lot in store for you. Lots of love, Kristina and Karl 💛
