A propos the horrific weather event in Valencia: it's time to offer a "meteo + climat journal" here and elsewhere, as France 2 and 3 have being doing these past 6 months. It's no longer adequate to be blandly uninformative about climate trends in weather forecasting. Meanwhile in election land, significant influencers insist climate change is a 'hoax'.

Yes folks, the moment of celestial has passed (Sunday 12.44 GMT/UST), but that's being nerdy: if you wish do take a pic of the setting or rising sun in the next 24-36 hours (Perth, Cape Town, Albania, Copacabana beach, N Spain coming in...) - but stand by for spring equinox and a full roll-out of the idea. …and at least 28 climate denier MPs are out, four Green MPs in (shame about Thangam Debbonaire), and a raft of new members have used pro-climate words. Deeds next pls.
But there is the ugly presence of anti-net zero Reform to deal with too: why is the argument that future uninhabitable places will drive emigration and refugees to our shores not exercised more to expose their vacuous fatuity? Finally, can 55 Tufton Street be eviscerated now? We need a place for a Museum of Delusion, Denial and Deceit…

During the election campaign I rode 100+ miles through the Cotswolds, counting 100+ placards as I pedalled: Lab 0 Green 0 Reform 0 Con 0. Libdem 100+. Tireless grassroots effort has paid off. I now see I could cycle the yellow brick road from Richmond Park (via Maidenhead, Henley) or even Beachy Head (Surrey Heath) all the way (Witney, skirting NE Somerset) to Barnstaple in uninterrupted Libdem Land. Tempted.
