Thanks to a new contribution to UNESCO, 🇮🇹 will work to boost employment's opportunities for young Sudanese through the creation of two professional training centers in the States of Kassala & Red Sea 🇸🇩.

Now that the day is coming to an end, we can say it: we are 50! 😁
This photo was taken at the end of the conference 'Jebel Barkal. Half a Century of the Italian Archaeological Mission in Sudan', with almost all the speakers and discussants, to whom we express our gratitude for the success of the event. ✨

Talking about Sudan never gets old💛

Domani a quest'ora saremo alle prime battute della nostra giornata di studi: "Jebel Barkal. Half a Century of the Italian Archaeological Mission in Sudan (Aula Baratto, Dorsoduro 3246, Università Ca' Foscari Venezia). Tra gli ospiti: Paola Buzi e Angelo Colonna di Egittologia e Civiltà copta dell'Università Sapienza di Roma, che ha accolto la missione con Sergio Donadoni dal 1973 al 2004; Alessandro Roccati, successivo direttore fino al 2010; Karla Kroeper e Christian Perzlmeier, con il loro progetto quasi trentennale nel sito di Naga (https://naga-project.com/naga-online/) ; Pavel Onderka e Vlastimil Jung Vrtal, che ci racconteranno dei loro scavi a Wad Ben Naga, sito in parte coevo a quello di Jebel Barkal; Nuha Abdelhafiz, che testimonierà le relazioni tra le due università di Venezia e di Khartoum. E poi ci saremo tutti noi membri della Missione Archeologica Italiana in Sudan - Jebel Barkal !
Celebriamo questi lunghi 50 anni, sì, ma celebriamo soprattutto il Sudan, il suo patrimonio archeologico, la sua gente, che da decenni ci ospita e collabora con tutti noi alla realizzazione di un progetto culturale che diventi una forza e una risorsa per la stessa popolazione di questo fiero, tormentato, straordinario paese.

L'Unops (Ufficio delle Nazioni Unite per i servizi ed i progetti)e l'Agenzia Italiana per la Cooperazione allo Sviluppo hanno firmato un'intesa da 4,2 milioni di euro per promuovere la fornitura di servizi sanitari in Sudan. (ANSA)

Amidst challenges, WE-RISE! 🇸🇩
As part of the Women’s Empowerment for Resilience, Inclusion, Sustainability, and Environment (WE-RISE!) project activities, we’re now launching a transformative incubation and acceleration program to boost innovation and sustainable growth in Eastern Sudan's Kassala and Port Sudan regions.

We're selecting 150 startups and MSMEs to receive hands-on learning facilitated by subject matter experts, personalized mentoring, and invaluable access to funds!

Who we’re looking for?
- Entrepreneurs with startups or MSMEs, from early ideation to post-revenue stages who demonstrate a strong entrepreneurial drive, a clear vision for their business, and a commitment to its growth.
- Priority will be given to applicants residing in Kassala state, Port Sudan, or who have recently relocated from other states.
- Sudanese women and young entrepreneurs are strongly encouraged to apply.
