The Socialist Democratic Unionist Party strongly condemns, in the strongest possible terms, the blatant aggression carried out by the United States government against the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, manifested in the abduction of the President of the Republic and the First Lady.
This act constitutes a flagrant violation of all international laws and conventions, and a direct assault on the sovereignty of an independent state and the dignity of its people.
The imperialist system of the United States of America has, throughout history, consistently demonstrated contempt for international law and a lack of respect for the sovereignty of states.
This is clearly reflected in its foreign policies, which are based on unconditional support for dictatorial and colonial regimes, foremost among them the Zionist entity and the rule of military generals in Third World countries, particularly in the Arab region, Africa, Asia, and Latin America.
The collapse of the Soviet Union, the weakening and complicity of the European role, and the persistence of poverty and dependency in the countries of the Global South have all contributed to emboldening the American system to further political and military bullying, violations of international law, and disregard for human rights and the dignity of peoples, without any moral or legal deterrent.
While our Party condemns this disgraceful criminal act, which stands as a stain on the conscience of humanity, it also holds international organizations, foremost among them the United Nations, the international human rights system, and international courts of law, responsible for their silence and impotence, which have encouraged forces of domination to persist in their crimes.
The Socialist Democratic Unionist Party calls upon the peoples of the world, their active forces, and revolutionary and progressive movements to condemn this brutal aggression, and to work collectively to confront the dominance of the unipolar world order and to resist the new colonial system represented by the United States of America and its arrogant approach.
We affirm clearly that we are not defending any particular regime in Venezuela; rather, we are defending the right of its people to self-determination and the principle of state sovereignty.
The change of regimes is an exclusive right of peoples themselves — not of American cowboys, nor their armies, nor their intelligence agencies.
Freedom, peace, justice, and dignity for all the peoples of the world
Shame and disgrace upon colonial regimes and forces of Domination.
