عقد معالي السيد الطاهر الباعور، المكلف بتسيير شؤون وزارة الخارجية والتعاون الدولي، اليوم الأحد الموافق 2026.04.12، اجتماعا ثنائيا مع معالي وزير الخارجية والتعاون الدولي بجمهورية السودان، السيد محي الدين سالم أحمد إبراهيم.
تناول اللقاء سبل تعزيز العلاقات الثنائية بين البلدين الشقيقين، وتطوير آفاق التعاون في مختلف المجالات ذات الاهتمام المشترك.
وبحث الجانبان خلال الاجتماع تطورات الأوضاع في المنطقة لا سيما في ظل التحديات السياسية والأمنية التي تشهدها بعض دول الإقليم حيث تبادلا وجهات النظر حول أهمية دعم مسارات الاستقرار وتعزيز التنسيق المشترك بما يخدم مصالح البلدين ويسهم في دعم الأمن الإقليمي.
وأكد السيد الباعور خلال اللقاء على عمق العلاقات التاريخية التي تربط ليبيا والسودان، مشددا على أهمية تفعيل قنوات التعاون الثنائي خاصة في المجالات الاقتصادية والتنموية، بما يحقق تطلعات الشعبين الشقيقين.
كما تناول الاجتماع بشكل خاص ملف مصرف الاستثمار الإفريقي، حيث استعرض الجانب الليبي مستجدات الجهود المبذولة لتفعيل هذه المؤسسة المالية القارية التي تستضيفها ليبيا، مؤكدا اهتمام الدولة الليبية بدفع هذا المشروع الاستراتيجي إلى حيز التنفيذ، لما له من دور محوري في دعم التكامل الاقتصادي الإفريقي وتمويل مشاريع التنمية.
وأبدى الجانب السوداني اهتماما بهذا التوجه مؤكدا أهمية مثل هذه المبادرات في تعزيز العمل الإفريقي المشترك ودعم الاستقرار الاقتصادي في القارة.
وفي ختام اللقاء أكد الجانبان حرصهما على مواصلة التنسيق والتشاور والعمل على تطوير العلاقات الثنائية بما يخدم المصالح المشتركة ويسهم في تعزيز الاستقرار والتعاون على المستويين الإقليمي والقاري.

والمستشار رامي سعيد كعال، ممثل اللجنة التأسيسية لمصرف الاستثمار الافريقي.
His Excellency Mr. El- Taher El-Baour, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, held a bilateral meeting today, Sunday, 12 April 2026, with His Excellency the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Republic of Sudan, Mr. Mohi El-Din Salem Ahmed Ibrahim.
The meeting addressed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and to develop prospects for cooperation in various fields of mutual interest.
During the meeting, the two sides also discussed developments in the region, particularly in light of the political and security challenges facing some countries. They exchanged views on the importance of supporting paths toward stability and enhancing joint coordination in a way that serves the interests of both countries and contributes to regional security.
Mr. El-Baour emphasized during the meeting the depth of the historical ties between Libya and Sudan, stressing the importance of activating bilateral cooperation channels, especially in economic and developmental fields, in order to meet the aspirations of the two brotherly peoples.
The meeting also specifically addressed the African Investment Bank file, where the Libyan side reviewed the latest efforts to activate this continental financial institution, which is to be hosted by Libya. They affirmed the Libyan state’s commitment to advancing this strategic project into implementation, given its pivotal role in supporting African economic integration and financing development projects.
The Sudanese side expressed interest in this direction, emphasizing the importance of such initiatives in strengthening joint African action and supporting economic stability on the continent.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides affirmed their commitment to continuing coordination and consultation, and to working on developing bilateral relations in a way that serves common interests and contributes to enhancing stability and cooperation at both the regional and continental levels.
The meeting was attended on the Libyan side by Mr. Najib Al-Rayani, Director of the Arab Affairs Department; His Excellency the Ambassador of Libya to the Republic of Sudan, Dr. Fawzi Abu-Mureiz; and Advisor Rami Saeed Ka’al, representative of the Founding Committee of the African Investment Bank.
