เมื่อวันที่ 27 พฤษภาคม 2569 นางเฟม พุทธาวัฒน์ ที่ปรึกษา สถานเอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงริยาด นำคณะผู้ประกอบการเอกชนซาอุดีอาระเบีย และผู้แทนสภาธุรกิจซาอุดี-ไทย เยี่ยมชมและศึกษาศักยภาพการบริหารจัดการระบบค้าปลีกและซูเปอร์มาร์เก็ตระดับพรีเมียมของไทยในกรุงเทพมหานคร เพื่อสำรวจโอกาสความร่วมมือและขยายการนำเข้าสินค้าอาหารไทยสู่ตลาดซาอุดีฯ และภูมิภาคตะวันออกกลาง โดยในช่วงเช้า คณะฯ เข้าเยี่ยมชม TOPS FOOD HALL ณ ศูนย์การค้า Central Park และได้รับการต้อนรับจากผู้บริหารบริษัท เซ็นทรัล ฟู้ด รีเทล จำกัด ภายใต้เซ็นทรัล รีเทล นำโดย นายธนวัตร จิรจริยาเวช กรรมการผู้จัดการ นางสุจิตา เพ็งอุ่น ประธานเจ้าหน้าที่ฝ่ายปฏิบัติการ พร้อมด้วยคณะผู้บริหาร โดยคณะฯ ได้รับฟังการบรรยายสรุปภาพรวมธุรกิจ TOPS และเข้าชมการบริหารจัดการร้านค้าปลีกซึ่งสะท้อนถึงมาตรฐานสมัยใหม่และความพร้อมของไทยในการเป็นศูนย์กลางด้านอาหารของภูมิภาค จากนั้นในช่วงบ่าย คณะฯ เดินทางต่อไปยัง Gourmet Market ณ ศูนย์การค้าสยามพารากอน โดยได้รับการต้อนรับจากคณะผู้บริหารเดอะมอลล์ กรุ๊ป นำโดย นางสาวญาณินทร เตมียบุตร ผู้จัดการทั่วไป นายเฮนรี่ ปรีชาพานิช ผู้เชี่ยวชาญอาวุโสฝ่ายประสบการณ์ลูกค้า และนางจีริกา ดาวนิ่ง ผู้จัดการฝ่ายการตลาดต่างประเทศ พร้อมด้วยคณะเจ้าหน้าที่
ทั้งนี้ การศึกษาดูงานทั้งสองแห่งเปิดโอกาสให้ผู้จัดซื้อและผู้นำเข้าจากซาอุดีฯ ได้สัมผัสมาตรฐานการคัดเลือกสินค้า เทคโนโลยีการรักษาคุณภาพอาหาร และความหลากหลายของผลิตภัณฑ์ไทย อันจะเป็นรากฐานสำคัญในการสร้างความเชื่อมั่นและนำไปสู่การจับคู่ธุรกิจและการนำเข้าสินค้าไทยไปวางจำหน่ายในห้างสรรพสินค้าชั้นนำของซาอุดีฯ อย่างเป็นรูปธรรม
On 27 May 2026, Mrs. Fame Buddhavadhana, Counsellor at the Royal Thai Embassy in Riyadh, led a delegation of Saudi private sector representatives and members of the Saudi–Thai Business Council on a study visit to explore the management capabilities of Thailand’s premium retail and supermarket sector in Bangkok. The visit aimed to explore opportunities for cooperation and expand the import of Thai food products into the Saudi Arabian and broader Middle Eastern markets.
In the morning, the delegation visited TOPS FOOD HALL at Central Park Shopping Centre, where they were warmly welcomed by executives of Central Food Retail Company Limited under Central Retail, led by Mr. Thanawat Jirajariyavej, Managing Director, Mrs. Sujita Peng-un, Chief Operating Officer, together with the management team. The delegation received a briefing on the overall business operations of TOPS and toured the retail management system, which reflected modern standards and Thailand’s readiness to serve as a regional food hub.
In the afternoon, the delegation continued to Gourmet Market at Siam Paragon, where they were welcomed by executives of The Mall Group, led by Mr. Yanintorn Temiyabutra, General Manager, Mr. Henry Preechapanich, Senior Customer Experience Specialist, and Ms. Jeerika Downing, International Marketing Manager, together with their team.
The study visits to both establishments provided Saudi buyers and importers with first-hand exposure to Thailand’s product selection standards, food quality preservation technologies, and the wide variety of Thai products. These visits will help strengthen confidence and lay an important foundation for future business matching and the concrete importation of Thai products into leading retail outlets and department stores in Saudi Arabia.
