เมื่อวันที่ 21 ตุลาคม 2569 นายพงศ์ปราชญ์ มากแจ้ง เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงริยาด พร้อมด้วยนายนที วิชิตสรสาตร อัครราชทูตที่ปรึกษา นายมนตรี ขุนพิทักษ์ อัครราชทูตที่ปรึกษา และเจ้าหน้าที่สถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ เข้าพบหารือกับ Prof. Dr. Mansour bin Abdulrahman Al-Haidary รักษาการอธิการบดีมหาวิทยาลัย Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University และคณะผู้บริหารมหาวิทยาลัยฯ โดยทั้งสองฝ่ายได้ร่วมหารือถึงแนวทางการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือด้านวิชาการและการศึกษาระหว่างไทยกับซาอุดีอาระเบีย โดยเฉพาะการแลกเปลี่ยนนักวิจัยในสาขาวิทยาศาสตร์ เทคโนโลยีและนวัตกรรม พร้อมนี้เอกอัครราชทูตฯ ยัง ได้แสดงความขอบคุณทางมหาวิทยาลัยฯ ที่ได้มอบทุนการศึกษาและดูแลนักศึกษาไทย เป็นอย่างดี พร้อมทั้งเชิญชวนมหาวิทยาลัยฯ ร่วมจัดกิจกรรมกับสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ในวาระครบรอบ 70 ปี ความสัมพันธ์ทางการทูตไทย-ซาอุดีอาระเบีย ในปี 2570 ด้วย

On 21 October 2026, H.E. Mr. Pongprach Makchang, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, accompanied by Mr. Natee Vichitsorasatra, Minister Counsellor, Mr. Montri Khunpitak, Minister Counsellor, and officials from the Royal Thai Embassy, paid a courtesy call and held discussions with Prof. Dr. Mansour bin Abdulrahman Al-Haidary, Acting President of Imam Mohammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, along with the university’s executive management. Both sides discussed opportunity to promote academic and educational cooperation between Thailand and Saudi Arabia, particularly focusing on researcher exchanges in the fields of science, technology, and innovation. On this occasion, H.E. Mr. Ambassador expressed his sincere appreciation to the university for providing scholarships and excellent care for Thai students, and invited the university to co-organize activities with the Embassy in commemoration of the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Thailand and Saudi Arabia in 2027.
