IMCTC received today at its headquarters H.E. Prof. Dr. Emrullah İşler, Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. During the visit, both sides discussed prospects for cooperation in areas of mutual interest. The Ambassador was also briefed on IMCTC’s key activities, programs, and strategic initiatives across counterterrorism domains.

As part of strengthening international counterterrorism efforts, IMCTC Secretary General Maj. Gen. Mohammed Al-Moghedi met in London with the Director of the National & Economic Security Directorate, Mr. Thomas Barry, as well as with Mr. Martin Warr, Head of Counter Daesh Cell at the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, means of developing cooperation in countering terrorist organizations and strengthening exchange of experiences, expertise, training and capacity building to advance regional and international security and stability.

IMCTC Secretary General, Maj. Gen. Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Moghedi, met in London with Ms. Jemima Murray, Director, Counter Terrorism, Homeland Security Group, at the UK Home Office. The meeting addressed the growing challenges posed by online extremism and radicalization, as well as the importance of strengthening cooperation and exchanging expertise to counter them. Ms. Murray also commended IMCTC’s efforts across its various domains and its role in supporting Member States and building their capacities, particularly in the Ideology and Counter-Terrorism Financing domains.

IMCTC implemented its strategic initiative in the Communications Domain in Mogadishu, in the presence H.E., the Minister of Defense and Chief of the Army of the Federal Republic of Somalia. Meanwhile, throughout August, IMCTC celebrated at its headquarters the Independence Days of several Member States demonstrating the depth of cooperation and solidarity among them and further strengthening the joint efforts in countering terrorism and extremism.
