Today, we celebrate the strength, leadership, and resilience of women working within the TB Space Globally who continue to stand at the forefront of the fight against Tuberculosis. From community advocates to frontline responders, women are driving change, challenging stigma, and ensuring that those most affected are not left behind.

As we also look ahead to World TB Day, we recognize that the movement to end TB must be led by women and powered by communities. Their voices, leadership, and lived experiences are essential in shaping a stronger and more inclusive TB response.

Day 2 in Kigali (Anglophone CCM Meeting)

GC8 conversations are not abstract they are about real communities, real risks, and real accountability. From the Anglophone CCM Meeting in Rwanda, Vama Jele continues to push one clear message, Key & Vulnerable Populations STB KVP Delegation must not be sidelined in funding decisions. Community-led responses must be prioritized, protected, and properly resourced. If GC8 is to deliver impact, it must be shaped by the lived realities of those most affected.

Nothing about KVPs without KVPs.

This week, Anglophone CCM Members are convening in Kigali for a high-level meeting that will directly shape the direction and priorities of GC8 as the new cycle begins.

Vama Jele Board Member of the Stop TB Partnership KVP Delegation and Member of the South Africa CCM is on the ground to ensure that the voice of Key & Vulnerable Populations is not negotiated away behind closed doors.

GC8 must intentionally prioritize, protect, and fully fund KVP-led and community-led interventions.

TB investments must be anchored in the lived realities of mobile, marginalized, and high-risk communities backed by accountability, measurable outcomes, and sustained impact.
Also in Kigali is Austin Obiefuna, Vice Chair of the Stop TB Partnership Board, reinforcing leadership engagement in shaping GC8 priorities.

Ending TB demands nothing less.

The Stop TB Partnership is pleased to announce that its 40th Board Meeting and related events will take place in Bali, Indonesia, from 3 to 7 November 2026, co-hosted with The Tahir Foundation and the Ministry of Health of Indonesia.

This milestone meeting marks a defining moment for the efforts to end TB and for the Stop TB Partnership, bringing together global leaders, Ministers of Health, technical partners, civil society, TB survivors, and the private sector to advance collective leadership in the fight to end TB.

STOP TB PARTNERSHIP ANNOUNCES WORLD TB DAY 2026 THEME

The Stop TB Partnership in Geneva has officially announced the World TB Day 2026 theme (24 March):

YES! WE CAN END TB.
Led by countries. Powered by people and communities.

This is more than a slogan it signals a power shift. Ending TB will not be achieved by policies alone; it requires communities on the frontlines and people with lived experience. Key & Vulnerable Populations (KVPs) are no longer just beneficiaries are partners in leadership.

This theme gives us space to say it clearly:

Yes! We Can End TB. Powered by Communities with Lived Experience.

More guidance and a digital campaign toolkit ill be shared later ahead of 24 March 2026.

In the global quest to end TB, diagnosis remains the single most decisive factor.

Without timely and accurate diagnostics, TB elimination is simply rhetoric. That is why Tariro Kudzadza, Our Alternate Board Member, is unpacking how technology and AI can strengthen TB diagnostics, accelerating detection, improving accuracy, and informing smarter programmatic decisions.

This conversation directly aligns with the Stop TB Partnership and Global Fund priorities on innovation, data-driven responses, and people-centered solutions that leave no community behind.

Warm greetings from the Key and Vulnerable Populations (KVP), TB-Affected Communities, and the Developing and Developed Country NGO Delegations to the Stop TB Partnership Board.

We are pleased to share with you the Combined Statement of Community, Developing Country and Key & Vulnerable Populations, and Developed Country NGO Delegations delivered at the 39th Stop TB Partnership Board Meeting held in Manila, Philippines.

This statement reflects our shared commitment to ensuring that communities remain at the heart of the global TB response. It emphasizes the urgent need for sustained political commitment, equitable financing, and full support for community-led mechanisms such as the Challenge Facility for Civil Society (CFCS)—a proven model that strengthens meaningful engagement and accountability across TB programs.

We extend deep appreciation to partners, including UNITAID, the French Government, the Global Drug Facility, and the Stop TB Partnership Secretariat for their continued investments in community systems. At the same time, we collectively call on all donors—public and private o expand and sustain support for community engagement and ensure no country or community is left behind.
