This morning at the AWJAN Official Opening for the Southern Africa Chapter, our COO Chance Tubane presented Rwanda Cooperation impact through South-South Cooperation, highlighting Rwanda’s impact across the Global South and the power of women in building nations.

During the conference, our delegation, led by Chance Tubane, shared Rwanda’s Transformation Journey from “Ashes to Excellence” after the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi and the role of Women in rebuilding the country.

Delegates gathered from Botswana, South Africa, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Namibia, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda, Burundi, Liberia, Nigeria, Ghana, Guyana, USA and UK, leading various institutions from Education to Health and Public to Private sectors, with men allies supporting Africa's transformation while exploring existing and new synergies to advance the continent's development.

🇧🇩 🇷🇼 , the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), and the Department of Environment concluded their study visit to , focused on plastic waste management, environmental protection, and community-led clean-up initiatives.

The delegation engaged with the Ministry of Environment (MoE), Rwanda Environment Management Authority (REMA), and City of Kigali, and visited an eco-plastic recycling facility in Mageragere to explore Rwanda’s practical approaches to plastic waste recycling, environmental protection, and public-private partnerships in waste management.

A two-week exchange came to a close as Ministry of Transport, Works and Infrastructure deepened its understanding of Rwanda’s evolving transport ecosystem.

The delegation gained insights into:
• Fleet policy implementation and road sector reform
• Public transport coordination and regulation
• Digitalisation of transport services and ICT integration
• Traffic enforcement and vehicle inspection systems
• E-mobility and intelligent transport systems

The exchange included engagements with Rwanda Ministry of Infrastructure (MININFRA), City of Kigali, Rwanda Transport Development Agency, Rwanda National Police, Rwanda Utilities Regulatory Authority (RURA), Irembo, Ampersand Energy, AC Mobility, Yego Global, and Ecofleet Rwanda.

🇳🇬🇬🇧🇷🇼 This Friday, Rwanda Cooperation hosted a joint delegation from UK Prospects Development Services and the Nigeria Women Farmers Advancement Network for a knowledge exchange on Rwanda’s governance and decentralisation experience.

The session featured the Ministry of Local Government and the Rwanda Governance Board, covering:

🔹 Good Governance & Service Delivery
🔹 Community Mobilisation
🔹 Coordination of District Development Strategies
🔹 The Regulatory Framework for Civil Society Organisations

🇱🇷 🇷🇼 Liberia’s Ministry of State for Presidential Affairs, led by Hon. Mamaka Bility, Minister of State without Portfolio, concluded a productive study visit to Rwanda.

A key highlight was the visit to Musanze and the Mutobo Demobilisation and Reintegration Centre, where the delegation explored Rwanda’s experience in rehabilitation, reintegration and post-conflict recovery.

🇬🇦 🇷🇼 Après près de deux semaines d’échanges enrichissants au hashtag , la délégation du Ministère de l’Intérieur, de la Sécurité et de la Décentralisation du hashtag a conclu son programme d’immersion consacré à la transformation numérique du Rwanda.

La délégation a exploré l’expérience du Rwanda en matière de :

* Transformation numérique et gouvernance électronique ;
* Intelligence artificielle et politiques numériques ;
* Digitalisation de l’état civil et des services d’identification ;
* Cybersécurité, protection des données et vie privée ;
* Interconnexion des systèmes publics et services numériques ;
* Digitalisation des services publics au niveau décentralisé ;
* Plateforme IREMBO et prestation de services gouvernementaux en ligne.
Cette immersion a permis de partager des expériences, des bonnes pratiques et des enseignements sur le parcours de transformation numérique du Rwanda.
