Following nationwide elections, the Rwanda Youth in Agribusiness Forum (RYAF) today, 26th August 2026, officially launched a 3-Day Leadership & Governance Induction Program at Play Hotel, Kigali (26–28 August 2026).
Welcoming participants, the RYAF Chairperson Sakina Usengimana expressed gratitude to government institutions and partners, recognizing MINAGRI's continuous support over the past 10 years of RYAF's journey, as well as key partners including AGRA for making the leadership induction possible.
Dr. Damien Shumbusha from the Ministry of Youth and Arts (MOYA). In his address, he highlighted:
"We deeply appreciate RYAF for the great work you do in agriculture. We expect a lot from you and those you represent, and the country looks forward to the results you will deliver. Thank you, and keep taking bold steps forward."
In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resources, Dr. Olvier Kamana, urged the new leaders:
"As the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resources, we will continue to collaborate with you. It is commendable to have RYAF onboard, and I urge you as elected representatives to work together and actively contribute to key national development frameworks, including NST2 and PSTA5, aimed at accelerating agricultural productivity."
This induction gathers 145 newly elected leaders (140 District Committee representatives & 5 National Board Directors) to strengthen governance, youth advocacy, gender inclusion, and strategic action planning.
