Following nationwide elections, the Rwanda Youth in Agribusiness Forum (RYAF) today, 26th August 2026, officially launched a 3-Day Leadership & Governance Induction Program at Play Hotel, Kigali (26–28 August 2026).
Welcoming participants, the RYAF Chairperson Sakina Usengimana expressed gratitude to government institutions and partners, recognizing MINAGRI's continuous support over the past 10 years of RYAF's journey, as well as key partners including AGRA for making the leadership induction possible.
Dr. Damien Shumbusha from the Ministry of Youth and Arts (MOYA). In his address, he highlighted:
"We deeply appreciate RYAF for the great work you do in agriculture. We expect a lot from you and those you represent, and the country looks forward to the results you will deliver. Thank you, and keep taking bold steps forward."
In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resources, Dr. Olvier Kamana, urged the new leaders:
"As the Ministry of Agriculture and Animal Resources, we will continue to collaborate with you. It is commendable to have RYAF onboard, and I urge you as elected representatives to work together and actively contribute to key national development frameworks, including NST2 and PSTA5, aimed at accelerating agricultural productivity."
This induction gathers 145 newly elected leaders (140 District Committee representatives & 5 National Board Directors) to strengthen governance, youth advocacy, gender inclusion, and strategic action planning.

Valens Ruhorimbere is the founder of IwacuBakery Solution Ltd , a company adding value to pumpkins through innovative bakery products.
The company produces bread, mandazi, and cakes made from pumpkin, sold under the IHANGO Maxma brand (Mandazi, Bread, Cake, Composite Flour, and Roasted Pumpkin Seeds Flour).
Beyond production, they also provide pastry and bakery training, having trained 120 youth (70 girls, 20 boys, and 30 persons with disabilities) in , Kabarore Sector.

Agro House Ltd, led by Jean D’Amour Nkurikiyumukiza, is among exhibitors at in Mulindi, Kigali.
The company grows RAB C15 coffee in Nyamasheke (Karambi Sector, Kabuga Cell) and Bugesera (Musenyi Sector, Musenyi Cell). It adds value by processing coffee beans, leaves, and husks into products sold under the “Gana” brand, including coffee, coffee leaf tea, and cascara tea.
Agro House also operates a coffee shop in Karuruma, Kigali.

GreenRoots Solutions Ltd, a company owned by Tuyisenge Solange, is engaged in vegetable and fruit farming in Rwanda’s Eastern Province.
In Rwamagana District, the company grows pepper, green beans and cucumber, while in Bugesera District it produces chilli and avocados.
The company is currently exhibiting at the   taking place at Mulindi in Kigali, where visitors can find them at the AGRA tent.
Its activities highlight the growing role of youth and private sector actors in promoting market-oriented agriculture and adding value to farm produce, in line with Rwanda’s vision for modern and productive agriculture.
