The Government of Rwanda, through the Ministry of ICT & Innovation and , in collaboration with the World Bank Group, convened a high-level stakeholder meeting to advance the development of Rwanda’s Digital & AI Compact.

In her remarks, Hon. Minister Paula Ingabire emphasized the critical role of digital technologies in driving economic transformation, boosting productivity, and improving public service delivery.

Discussions focused on strengthening digital infrastructure, advancing AI talent, and supporting innovation through coordinated action among government, partners, and the private sector.

This initiative reflects Rwanda’s continued commitment to building an inclusive and future-ready digital economy. 🇷🇼

Rwanda Information Society Authority welcomed students from Hope Haven Christian School for a study visit aimed at strengthening their understanding of ICT governance and digital innovation in Rwanda.

During the visit, students attended presentations on key national IT projects and initiatives implemented by RISA, including the Single Digital ID , the Digital Ambassadors Program, and the Network Modernization Project, before touring the National Data Center and the Network Operations Center .

Yesterday during Car Free Day in the City of Kigali, the Rwanda Information Society Authority (RISA) actively contributed to the ongoing by promoting online child protection. Alongside Ministry of ICT & Innovation, Ministry of Gender and Family Promotion, National Child Development Agency UNICEF Rwanda , MTN Rwanda, and other partners, RISA’s interacted with children, parents, and the wider community, sharing practical tips on how to stay safe online and encouraging responsible digital behavior.
This reinforces RISA’s commitment to building a safe, inclusive, and responsible digital ecosystem, ensuring that children are protected as they navigate the online world.

As the journey continues for , the Startup Incubation & Talent Development training completion events kicked off in and Hanga Hubs.

The program has equipped young innovators with practical skills to grow and scale their ideas, a milestone they proudly celebrated while expressing gratitude to all partners Rwanda ICT Chamber, Nyagatare District Muhanga District and to the European Union in Rwanda for their unwavering support in helping them turn ideas into real-world solutions.

Through months of hands-on learning, trainees gained knowledge in 4Ds metrics, business planning, pitching and preparation, go-to-market strategies, financial modelling, and essential digital skills such as computer literacy, data analysis, Internet of things, digital fabrication and emerging Technologies

At , RISA CEO Antoine Sebera shared Rwanda’s vision for harnessing to drive inclusive and scalable innovation.

He highlighted the National Artificial Intelligence Policy, which focuses on skills development, infrastructure, governance, and collaboration to build a trusted, people-centered AI ecosystem.

Among other key points, he noted that innovative approaches such as infrastructure sharing among telecom operators, AI-native investments in networks, and digital literacy programs like the Digital Ambassador initiative are vital to expanding access and ensuring the effective use of AI.
