Paving the way to Development

🇷🇼: Guverinoma y'u Rwanda ibinyujije mu kigo cy'Igihugu gishinzwe Iterambere rya Transiporo (RTDA) ku nkunga ya Banki y'isi, yubatse imihanda ifasha abahinzi n'aborozi kugeza umusaruro ku masoko (Feeder roads), ireshya na 231Km mu ntara y'Uburasirazuba:
Mu karere ka Nyagatare (55 Km),
Gatsibo (83Km) na
Rwamagana (93Km).

Iyi mihanda yose hamwe mu gihugu izaba ireshya na kilometero 720 umushinga nurangira mu mpera z'uyu mwaka.

🇬🇧:
The Government of Rwanda through Rwanda Transport Development Agency (RTDA) and the grant from the World Bank, constructed 231 Km of feeder roads in Eastern Province:
Nyagatare District (55Km),
Gatsibo District (83Km) and
Rwamagana District (93Km) to facilitate farmers to access markets for their agriculture produce.

The total length of all feeder roads will cover 720Km at the end of the ongoing phase, expected before the end of this year.

Umuhanda Kibugabuga-Shinga-Gasoro uhuza akarere ka Bugesera n'aka Nyanza, uri kubakwa hashyirwamo kaburimbo ku bufatanye bwa leta y'u Rwanda na Banki y'Isi. Iyubakwa ry'uyu muhanda rigeze ku kigero cya 80%, ukaba ureshya na 66.55 Km.

Abakoresha uyu muhanda bashimangira ko woroheje cyane imihahiranire ndetse n'imigenderanire hagati y'intara y'Uburasirazuba n'iy'Amajyepfo muri rusange.

Abaturage bo muri utu turere, by'umwihariko abo mu mirenge ikora kuri uyu muhanda barashimira leta ko yabakuye mu bwigunge, ikabaha umuhanda wa kaburimbo utuma bagenderanira, bakanahahiranira ku giciro gito, mu buryo bworoshye, butekanye kandi bwihuse.

The Government of Rwanda through Rwanda Transport Development Agency (RTDA) in partnership with Trade Mark Africa (TMA) and Invest International (II) are constructing the first ever cargo and passenger port on Lake Kivu in Rubavu district.

The overall progress of construction works is at 68%.

The construction activities of this port facilities have created more jobs for many people around Kivu Lake.

The port will also help boost maritime transport and cross-border trade between Rwanda & DRC, and bolster touristic activities on and around Kivu Lake.

Today, Rwanda Transport Development Agency (RTDA) on behalf of the Government of Rwanda embarked upon the launch of a 2-day workshop with partners African Development Bank , East African Community and Central Corridor-Transit Transport Facilitation Agency (CCTTFA) for the development of the EAC multinational (Rwanda/Burundi) Cross-border roads upgrading project/Phase 1.

The main objective of this project is to improve transport connectivity between Rwanda and neighbouring countries (Burundi and DRC) by upgrading of missing links on the Central and Northern Corridors, therewith contributing to poverty reduction and improved living conditions of the people.

This will also foster trade and transport facilitation and promote regional integration in the EAC region and with the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
