In the greenhouse on the territory of the Big Rose Garden, the palm tree Chamaerops bloomed. It appeared in Sokolniki park in 2016. The central flower garden of the park was reconstructed in the historical gardening style of the 50s according to the preserved photo. The flower garden was supplemented with exotic greenhouse plants.

After the construction of a small greenhouse on the territory of the Big Rose Garden, the palm tree from the flower garden began to move there for the winter. Visitors to the park in the cold season are very worried about it, but small temperature drops do not harm the palm tree in any way.

Skating rink "GIGANT" has closed until the next winter season.

The rental point is located in the Astronomers' Garden to the left of the Main entrance to the park.

Working hours: daily from 9:00 to 17:00, until February 20 inclusive.

The rental is free, but a deposit of 3000 rubles (in cash) is required. Adults and children from 8 years old can use the snow scooters (necessarily accompanied by parents).

Entrance to the skating rink is paid. Tickets for the skating rink can be purchased in advance on the on the Moscow Mayor official website: https://www.mos.ru/afisha/event/223887257/

The skating rink's operating mode under stable frosty weather conditions is from 10:00 a.m. to 23:00 p.m. The playground operates according to sessions.

In the winter season, in addition to the skating rink, there are ski trails in the park.

There are 15 natural ski trails on the territory of the park, passing both in the parterre part and in the forest part of the park, with a total length of 45 km.

In addition to trails with natural snow cover, trails with artificial snow are available: track on the 5th Luchevoy prosek with a length of 3 km and a track on the 2nd Luchevoy prosek with a length of 1.5 km.

For the convenience of visitors, there is a rental point in the Running Club of the park (Mitkovski Proezd, 11). Here you can use the services of ski rental and related equipment.

Do you already know that there is a skating rink with natural ice “GIGANT” on the territory of the park?

The skating rink with a natural ice (area of 16,200 m²) is traditionally located on a Large Circle and the 1-st Luchevoy prosek.

The working hours of the rink are from 10:00 to 22:00 with technical breaks between sessions.

Pre-registration is required to visit the skating rink on the Moscow Mayor official website: https://www.mos.ru/afisha/event/225453257/. Tickets are free.

The electronic ticket will need to be shown at the entrance from the screen of a mobile device or in printed form.
