The Ministry of State Security, or MGB (Ministerstvo Gosudarstvennoy Bezopasnosti), was created in September 2016, under the Presidency of Vladimir Putin, which combines the Federal Security Service (FSB), the Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR), and the Federal Protective Service (FSO).
