Mosprom cares about buyers

This year we organized a new buyer support service, which is now a fully formed cooperation chain. Now Moscow-based producers of complimentary goods from adjacent industries could market their products abroad as a single solution.

This system is rather useful for exporters, as it could be used to significantly reduce production and logistics costs. Furthermore, a complex solution from several companies not only solves more problems for the customer, but also looks more convincing and competitive.

All traditional buyer program services are also available to you free of charge: we organize online and offline business missions and fully guided tech tours, and also organize reverse business missions, when we help the buyers to visit Moscow. In addition, Mosprom provides individual support in participation in international expos.

Where would you like to go with our buyer program?

Less effort - less spending!

Merkator Holding LLC, which specializes in producing, selling, servicing, processing and marketing of utility, road, and airfield equipment, has developed a unique onboard weighing system for heavyweight vehicles. Now, all information about payload is available online: it will save effort in prevention of theft and unlawful transportation. Tests have shown that computer-aided weighing is accurate within one kilo! Similar imported systems are no match to this one since they are accurate only within 500kg.

Merkator Holding LLC has been a leader of the road and utility equipment segment for 20 years, and currently holds 42% share of the Russian market of multipurpose road maintenance vehicles.

It’s no surprise that the company is actively exporting its produce abroad, as Moscow-produced utility vehicles could be spotted on the streets of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia.

Is it easy to do hi-tech business in Russia? It’s a challenge, but an interesting one – that is an impression one gets from talking to Mikhail Pavlyuk, director of ICC Milandr.

ICC Milandr is a seasoned player on the Russian market of microelectronics. Founded in 1993, the company has a long history, a good name and reputation. It started out as a microenterprise with 10 employees and evolved into a 650-strong production company.

Milandr is standing firm and feeling confident about the future. Judge for yourself: innovative power meters are doing well on the market – more than 200,000 meters have been sold in 2021 alone. The company has developed Infosphere software and introduced it on the market – it is used for remote data collection and analysis in industrial and utilities sector.

Milandr products are demanded not only on the domestic market but also abroad. Currently the company is exporting its products to the CIS countries.

Microcircuits, chips and software markets are highly competitive environments of global scale, which possess gigantic export potential. This is particularly important in the context of the current product deficit, which the world and many microelectronics-dependent industries have faced.

We tried to joke that microchips go well with microfish, but ICC Milandr people just shrugged it off – there is nothing fishy about their chips.

Long and boring for a human? Perfect job for a robot!

Last year, construction of a high-speed industrial robot production plant, the first in Russia and Eastern Europe, was started in the special economic zone Technopolis Moscow. A 1700-square-meter production will be spearheaded by Bitrobotics, the resident of the Special Economic Zone Technopolis Moscow.

Bitrobotics robots can not only handle and package goods, but also do some cooking. The company’s first project was an installation of two robots, producing seven thousand baked goods per hour, and one of their latest developments is a high-speed sausage line. Besides, Bitrobotics caters to the needs of FMCG industries.

Own production of all mechanisms of automated systems and implementation technologies significantly increase the competitiveness of Bitrobotics, and boost the export potential of its products. For instance, the company is planning to enter the Southeastern Asian and European markets.

Svyatoslav Stesin, CEO of Bitrobotics, says that his company’s solutions can significantly speed up production processes involving both manual and automated labour. For example, a two-axis manipulator can move up to 40kg of cargo from one conveyor belt to another, while a delta-robot can do this at a speed of one metre per second.

Would you like to use high-speed robots in your production processes? Tell us in the comment section!

Does Russia export oil, gas and timber? Undoubtedly. But not only that. What else? You will be surprised, but Russia also exports soft drinks, juices, non alcoholic beer, mineral and still water.

In the first quarter of 2021, non-alcoholic beverages export by Moscow enterprises has almost doubled, increasing by 90% compared to the same period in 2019. In monetary terms, export stood at more than $11 million, which is quite impressive considering its low capital intensity.

For now, CIS countries remain our traditional importers. However, with the expert help from the Mosprom Center, non-alcoholic beverage producers are exploring new markets in South-East Asia, Middle East, and Europe. Moscow producers are doing quite well, and who knows – what if someday soon Bottled in Moscow brand becomes the strongest soft drink in the world? And what if Moscow-brewed non-alcoholic beer flows like water at Oktoberfest. Why not?

Our ice cream conquers the world!

For five years in a row, ice cream industry has been showing steady growth, with Moscow export in the first six months of this year alone up by 51.2% compared to the same period of 2020 and by 107.9% compared to 2019! Total export of the first six months of 2021 stood at $25.78 million.

Global dream is coming true in Moscow!

A system of urban and personal transport, which does not harm the planet and does not have any carbon footprint has become a Moscow reality.

First and foremost, we are talking about Moscow e-buses. These beautiful, powerful and comfortable vehicles are produced here, in the nation’s capital, and they are cruising Moscow streets along designated bus lanes bypassing all the traffic. In addition, over 650 units of urban e-transportation are making Moscow the global leader in urban e-mobility.

However, infrastructure, which enables implementation of global ideas is no less important. We are proud to introduce a Russian producer called Parus Electro. Their ESEM and WallBox charging stations give life to your fashionable e-cars. Another specialty of theirs is producing AC/DC uninterruptible power supply (UPS) units, which are essential for modern architecture of serious devices.

It took only ten years for a company, which had been founded in 2010, to become a national leader and to successfully start exporting to CIS countries, including Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan.

The company is planing to keep growing its network of eco-friendly charging stations and to become a UPS market leader.

Closed borders don’t stand in the way of the trade flows, we’ve checked!

In the first six months of 2021, trade between Moscow and Italy was already up 32,8% year over year and reached $7.5 billion.

Alongside the traditionally exported industrial goods – mechanical equipment and electric devices, the pharmaceutical industry has really boosted the trade. In the first six months, immunological agents export alone stood at $34,56 million.

Mosprom Centre notes a general positive dynamic in Moscow-Italy trade growth, with the city non-commodity non-energy export soaring. In the first six months, it stood at an impressive $647,58 million – and that means an increase by more than 250%!

Feel free to share your export experience in the comment section. Do you trade with Italy or other European countries?

From ballet to entrepreneurship: the path is built!

Alexandra Gudimova, founder of Bionova Organic food brand, took this journey. She had to abandon ballet at age 17 due to a serious injury and to look for a new goal. She started off by writing her thesis at the HSE: Alexandra developed a business plan for a startup producing organic granola, and the project proved rather viable.

Currently Bionova is offering over 200 products, adding 15-20 positions every year, whilst annual revenue amounts to RUB 1.1 billion. In addition, the company is successfully exporting to 14 countries. According to Alexandra, her new business goal for the next three or four years is to reach RUB 5-6 billion in revenue with a profit margin of 10%.

According to the Russian National Organic Union, Moscow and St.-Petersburg account for 65%-70% of organic produce sales, 70% of which is the share of the Russian Capital.

Ask your questions about the organic industry in the comment section below - we will definitely answer all of them!
