The Russian Cup in remote-controlled underwater vehicles and unmanned boats started today in Astrakhan on the basis of the Lukoil-Nizhnevolzhskneft Corporate Training Center.

The competition is being held in the region for the ninth time, and this year 15 teams from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Sevastopol, Murmansk and Kaspiysk took part in it. The participants are mainly from schoolchildren and students of Russian universities.

As part of the competition, the teams demonstrated the skills of operating underwater vehicles in difficult conditions in the presence of obstacles, extracted the "flight recorder" from the model of the sunken MI-8 helicopter, measured the depth of the water area and created a 3D model of a given area.

The opening ceremony of the competition was attended by representatives of the Caspian Flotilla of the Russian Navy, the Border Department of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Republic of Kalmykia and the Astrakhan Region, the Russian Maritime Rescue Service, the Institute of Oceanology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, DOSAAF of Russia, as well as leading manufacturers of autonomous and remote-controlled marine vehicles.

The event was attended by O.Kolomin, Head of Representative Office of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Astrakhan and attache M.Rudov.

🇷🇺🇰🇿 Today, a meeting on preparations for the 22nd Russia-Kazakhstan Interregional Cooperation Forum was held in Omsk.

The working meeting, chaired by Omsk Region Governor V.Khotsenko, was attended by I.Kapyrin, Director of the Department for Relations with Federal Subjects, Parliament, and Public Associations of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, representatives of the Central Office and heads of several representative offices of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, representatives of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development, and members of the Omsk Region Government. Russia's Consul General in Uralsk, A.Gruby, and Russia's Trade Representative in Kazakhstan, A.Loginov, also joined the meeting remotely.

🎙 In his speech, the Omsk Region Governor emphasized:
"Kazakhstan is the Omsk Region's main foreign economic partner. This republic annually accounts for approximately 30% of the total mutual trade volume of our region."

✍ O.Kolomin, Representative of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Astrakhan, also presented a report on economic cooperation between the Astrakhan Region and regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The meeting focused on the organizational aspects and agenda of the upcoming forum, as well as the development of mutually beneficial cross-border cooperation between Russian and Kazakh regions.

🤝 The meeting also discussed transport and logistics development in the Irtysh River basin, measures to remove barriers to trade and economic cooperation, and strengthening bilateral humanitarian, youth, and cultural ties.

🎉 Today, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Representative office in Astrakhan held a traditional gala reception to mark Diplomats' Day of the Russian Federation.

The event's honorary guests included diplomats from foreign consular missions accredited in Astrakhan, led by Consul General of Iran A.Heydarian, Consul General of Kazakhstan K.Khasenov, and Consul of Turkmenistan G.Ilamanov.

The gala reception was also attended by Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Republic of Kalmykia O.Dzhambinov, Advisors to the Head of the Republic of Kalmykia V.Salykov and G.Korneev, and Deputy Minister of Foreign Relations of the Astrakhan Region I.Toropitsyn.

🎙 In his welcoming address, O.Kolomin, Head of the Russian Foreign Ministry Representative Office in Astrakhan, read out a congratulatory message from Russian Foreign Minister S.Lavrov, expressed gratitude to those gathered for the visit, and wished the guests continued fruitful work on foreign policy to expand international contacts between the regions of the Russian Federation and their foreign partners.

📚The final exams for students in the professional retraining programs "Translator in professional communication" and "Intercultural Communication and Translation" were held at the Faculty of Foreign Languages of Astrakhan State University.

O.Kolomin and M.Rudov, diplomats of the Representative Office of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Astrakhan, were invited as chairmen of the final attestation commissions of the mentioned programs.

The members of the commission assessed the level of students' training in the field of translation from Russian into English and in the opposite direction, listening, reviewing and retelling articles of scientific, journalistic, economic and other fields.

According to the results of the final tests, the high level of training of students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, which has been a "forge" of highly qualified personnel for many decades, was noted.

🎉The Faculty of Foreign Languages at Astrakhan State University celebrated its 80th anniversary!

On November 13, a gala event was held at the Astrakhan State Philharmonic to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the Faculty of Foreign Languages at Astrakhan State University.

👥The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Foreign Relations of the Astrakhan Region I.V. Toropitsyn, Attaché of the Representative Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia in Astrakhan M.A. Rudov, Attaché of the Consulate General of Iran in Astrakhan S.M. Mir Nurollahi, Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages N.A. Yemelyanova, as well as students and graduates of the faculty from various years.

🎙From the Philharmonic stage, congratulations were offered to the faculty and thanks were extended to the faculty for their continuous work in training highly qualified personnel for the needs of the region and the entire country.

Performing groups from the Astrakhan Region performed for the audience, as did students from the Faculty of Foreign Languages, who presented theatrical numbers in foreign languages.

🎉The Kalmyk State University celebrated its 55th anniversary!

From November 10 to 12, Elista hosted a series of events to mark the 55th anniversary of the Kalmyk State University.

On November 12, the Kalmyk State University Alumni Forum Education as a Bridge to Global Opportunities was held at the Government of the Republic of Kalmykia, coinciding with the university's anniversary celebrations.

The event was attended by M.U. Kokayev, a member of the People's Khural (Parliament) of the Republic of Kalmykia, K.A. Markeyev, the head of the Youth Agency of the Republic of Kalmykia, B.K. Salayev, the rector of Kalmyk State University, A.T. Gyazyzov, the rector of Batken State University in the Kyrgyz Republic, and other distinguished guests.

In an online format, the participants were welcomed by M.A. Rudov, Attaché of the Russian Foreign Ministry's Representative Office in Astrakhan, as well as by Russian and foreign graduates of the university from different years.

💬The participants recalled the history of the university's formation, discussed the implementation of scientific and educational projects, youth initiatives, and programs, and addressed the training of personnel, academic exchanges, and the prospects for expanding international relations with foreign partners.
