🌍 Our Erasmus Staff Exchange with Dr. Ursula Winter from the University Library Marburg continues to strengthen the professional collaboration between our institutions.
📚 The program began with a visit to our own library, followed by an in‑depth presentation of the special collections of the Theology Faculty Library. These sessions offered valuable insights into the management, preservation, and accessibility of specialized academic resources.
📘 On the second day, Dr. Winter offered a comprehensive overview of her work at the University Library Marburg. The presentation covered key areas such as collection development, digital repository workflows, communication strategies, open access policies, user training initiatives, and the organization of library services.
📖 The exchange continued with a visit to the ASTRA County Library, where we explored their special collections and learned about their conservation and digitization initiatives.
🏛️ Tomorrow, our guest will visit Teutsch Haus, followed by a cultural program dedicated to the heritage of Sibiu.
🤝We express our appreciation for the long‑standing collaboration between our library and the University Library Marburg, a partnership that has flourished for over 20 years.
We also extend our warm congratulations to our colleagues in Marburg as they prepare to celebrate their 500‑year Jubilee in 2027, a milestone in the history of academic libraries.
