Following meetings at the Romanian Ministry of National Defence, General Thomas M. Carden, Vice Chief of the National Guard Bureau, and Major General David K. Pritchett, Adjutant General of the Alabama National Guard, extended their visit to Headquarters Multinational Corps South-East (HQ MNC-SE) in Sibiu, accompanied by Lieutenant General DragoลŸ-Dumitru Iacob, Romanian Deputy Chief of Defence.

The delegation was briefed on the Corps' mission and its role within NATO's deterrence and defence architecture. Discussions focused on the evolving security environment along the Alliance's Eastern Flank, strengthening interoperability and readiness, and deepening cooperation among Allied nations.

The visit reflected the practical substance behind the transatlantic relationship โ€” shared planning, shared readiness, and a common understanding of what the Eastern Flank requires going forward.
