Ambassador Kevin Rex met with His Excellency Ambrozie-Irineu Darău, Romania’s Minister of Economy, Digitalization, Entrepreneurship and Tourism, on September 9 for his first official engagement after his presentation of credentials. Following the Minister’s recent visit to Montreal, they discussed the strong and growing economic partnership between Canada 🇨🇦 and Romania 🇷🇴 and opportunities to further expand cooperation, particularly in the areas of nuclear energy, security and defence. They also exchanged views on our shared commitment to La Francophonie and reaffirmed Canada’s and Romania’s continued support for Ukraine.
