Embassy of Canada to Romania, Bulgaria, and Moldova

Canadian Armed Forces members, deployed under , are working with Allies in Constanța, Romania, to identify and dispose of sea mines during this iteration of the Black Sea Mine Countermeasures (MCM) activity.

The team is working to locate, identify, and dispose of unexploded ordnance that poses risks to watercraft and freedom of navigation in the area, while strengthening interoperability alongside Romania, Bulgaria, Türkiye, France, Greece, Spain, and the United States.

Royal Canadian Navy clearance divers and remote systems operators are hard at work demonstrating that above, on, and in the water, the CAF is committed to this important multinational MCM effort.
