Vampire Literature Short Story Fellowship field trip to Sinca Veche Monastery and the Cave Monastic Complex. If it is Sunday, we go to church! The fellows visited this unique monastic complex that played a vital role in sustaining the church life from the 14th to the 18th centuies and the fight to uphold Orthodoxy in Transylvania. We had also the opportunity to drink water from the ancient spring that has been sanctified through the ages!

The Vampire Fellows arrived at Poenari Fortress, Vlad's second home after Targoviste. Recently renovated, you still have to climb 1480 stairs. During Vlad the Impaler’s reign, the fortress was extended with a courtyard of 60 meters / 10-15 meters, which is surrounding the initial tower. Vlad, in order to punish the merchants and boyars from Targoviste who captured his brother Mircea and burried him alive, captured men, women, sons and daughters during Easter and headed them to the fortress to work until their clothes withered.
