We have today heard about someone, who is probably the oldest surviving crew member of our ship, then still in service with the US Navy as "USS Dyson" in the Pacific theatre of war - he is still feeling well at the age of 96 years and he has also enjoyed this documentary of our ship very much! - May I present Mr John Stafford of Cookeville, Tennessee! - A man, who was there at the beginning! :-)
Wir haben heute von jemandem erfahren, der wahrscheinlich das älteste noch lebende Besatzungsmitglied unseres Schiffes, damals noch im Dienst der US Marine als "USS Dyson" im Pazifkkrieg, ist. Es geht ihm im Alter von 96 Jahren gut und er hat sich sehr über diese Dokumentation unseres Schiffes gefreut. Darf ich vorstellen? - Mr John Stafford aus Cookeville, Tennessee! - ein Mann der ersten Stunde! :-)
