Qatar is a growing country, and to accommodate this growth, a new, sustainable, and efficient way of getting both people and freight around the country was needed. Established by Emiri decree in 2011, Qatar Rail was given the mandate to design and develop the country’s rail network, and after the rail projects are completed, manage, operate, and maintain them. Qatar Rail’s answer to Qatar’s transp

ortation challenges lies in three major projects:

• The Doha Metro: a mostly underground rail network which connects communities within Doha and its suburbs
• The Lusail Light Rail Transit (LLRT): a tram network providing comfortable and convenient travel within the new city of Lusail
• The Long Distance Passenger and Freight Rail: connecting cities in the north and west with Doha, and the country with the forthcoming GCC rail system

سعداء بالحصول على إشادة CIHT 2026 للصحة والسلامة في بيئة العمل من قبل المعهد المعتمد للطرق السريعة والنقل (CIHT) وذلك تقديرا لثقافة الصحة والسلامة الراسخة في شركة الرّيل، والتقدم المحرز بشأن ترسيخ رؤية «إنجاز الأعمال دون أضرار». ويعكس هذا التقدير نجاح برنامج متكامل نفذته الشركة خلال عامي 2024 و2025 لتعزيز الصحة والسلامة وحماية الموظفين والركاب، ضمن نهج مؤسسي يضعها في صدارة الأولويات.

ضمن فعاليات برنامج زهرة دوار الشمس لدعم الركاب من ذوي الإعاقات غير المرئية عبر شبكتي و ، سعدنا باستضافة زيارة ميدانية لعدد من منتسبي برنامج "بست باديز قطر" التابع لمركز الشفلح. وخلال الزيارة، اطلع المشاركون على جهود شركة الرّيل المستمرة لتعزيز الشمولية، والخدمات والتسهيلات المقدمة لضمان تجربة تنقل سلسة، داعمة، وميسّرة للعملاء من ذوي الإعاقة غير المرئية، وذلك من خلال جولة تفاعلية وتجربة مباشرة للمرافق والخدمات المتوفرة عبر شبكتها.

As part of the Sunflower Program activities supporting passengers with non-visible disabilities across the and networks, we were delighted to host a field visit for a group of members from a program run by the Shafallah Center.�During the visit, participants were introduced to Qatar Rail’s ongoing efforts to promote inclusivity and ensure a seamless, supportive, and accessible travel experience for customers with non-visible disabilities, through interactive engagement and real-time exploration of services across its network.

قام المهندس جاسم الأنصاري الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة الرّيل بزيارة ميدانية للاطلاع على سير العمليات التشغيلية ومنظومة الصيانة عبر مختلف مرافق الشبكة، ضمن جولة شاملة تعكس المتابعة الوثيقة للجاهزية التشغيلية وكفاءة الأداء. وشملت الزيارة استعراض عمليات مركز التحكم والقيادة والتنسيق التشغيلي، إلى جانب الاطلاع على مرافق الصيانة والمشاريع والمبادرات القائمة التي تهدف إلى تعزيز التميز التشغيلي وجودة الخدمات المقدمة.

Eng. Jassim Al Ansari, CEO of Qatar Rail, conducted a field visit to review operational activities and maintenance systems across various metro and tram network facilities, as part of a comprehensive tour reflecting Qatar Rail’s continued commitment to operational readiness, efficiency, and service excellence. The visit included an overview of the ICC and operational coordination functions, in addition to maintenance facilities and briefings on ongoing projects and initiatives aimed at further enhancing operational performance and delivering high-quality services across the network.
