🇸🇪 For many Swedes, Midsummer is when summer truly begins.

Flower wreaths, long bright evenings, music, dancing around the maypole, and time with family and friends make it one of the most loved days of the year.

Whether you are celebrating in Sweden, Qatar, or somewhere else, we wish you a joyful Midsummer filled with sunshine, flowers, and good company. 🌸☀️

How are you celebrating Midsummer this year? 😍

🇸🇪 This is Sweden

📍 Kiruna, Sweden

☀️ The town where the sun never sets.

Every summer, the Midnight Sun transforms Kiruna into a place where daylight lasts around the clock. Located above the Arctic Circle, the sun remains visible even at midnight, creating one of Sweden’s most remarkable natural phenomena.

Would you like to experience a summer with 24 hours of daylight?

In times of uncertainty, diplomacy matters more than ever.

The announced agreement between the United States and Iran offers an important opportunity to reduce tensions, prevent further escalation and create space for continued dialogue.

I was pleased to share my reflections with Gulf Times on recent regional developments, and to highlight Qatar’s important role in facilitating communication and keeping diplomatic channels open. Qatar’s reputation as a trusted mediator has been built over many years through patience, discretion and a consistent commitment to dialogue.

Sweden strongly supports efforts that promote de-escalation, regional stability and peaceful solutions through diplomacy.

Sweden’s Prime Minister, HE Ulf Kristersson, welcomes the agreement between the United States and Iran, and underlines the importance of restoring free and safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz.

For Sweden, a country that depends on open trade and secure maritime routes, stability and de-escalation in the region are of great importance.

Today’s announcement is an important step towards greater regional stability and economic security. Sweden also recognises and appreciates Qatar’s constructive mediation efforts in support of dialogue, diplomacy and regional peace.
