Днес, посолството на Република България в Доха посрещна скъп гост: ключаря и пазителя на Божи гроб и храма „Възнесение Христово“ в Йерусалим Адиб Джуде Ал Хусейни. Исторически, от времето на Салах ад-Дин (Саладин) Ал-Аюби и в продължение на 850 години тази мюсюлманска фамилия съхранява ключа за Божи гроб и бди над Йерусалимската православна патриаршия, първата исторически патриаршия сред православните църкви.
Мисията на фамилията е ежедневно доказателство, че вярата в Бога може да обединява хората, вместо да ги разделя. Роден и израснал в ислямската вяра, Адиб е посветил живота си в служба на християнството - с благоговение и дълбоко уважение, които надхвърлят религиозните догми. Той показва на света, че истинската духовност не се състои в това да доказваш правотата си, а в това да защитаваш правото на ближния да се моли свободно.
Бе договорено в началото на август в посолството да се състои вечер на пазителите на Божи гроб, на дълговековната традиция на фамилията Ал Хусейни и на мостовете между християнството и исляма. В този контекст е и българската толерантност на съжителство между християни и мюсюлмани, също в разбирателство и взаимно уважение, и от векове. Предстои организирането на събитието, след което ще бъде отправена покана към българската общност в Катар и катарски приятели на България.
Today, the Embassy of the Republic of Bulgaria in Doha had the privilege of welcoming a distinguished guest: Mr. Adib Judeh Al-Husseini, the Keeper of the Key to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and Guardian of the Church of the Ascension in Jerusalem and his brother Mr. Sari Al-Husseini.
Since the time of Salah ad-Din (Saladin), more than 850 years ago, the Al-Husseini noble family has been entrusted with safeguarding the key to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre and serving as custodian of the Jerusalem Orthodox Patriarchate—the oldest of the historic Orthodox patriarchates.
The family's mission is a living testament to the idea that faith in God can unite people rather than divide them. Born and raised in the Islamic faith, Mr. Adib Al-Husseini has devoted his life to serving Christianity with reverence and profound respect that transcend religious dogma. Through his example, he reminds the world that true spirituality lies not in proving one's own beliefs right, but in protecting the right of one's neighbour to worship freely.
During the meeting, it was agreed that, at the beginning of August, the Embassy will host an evening dedicated to the Keepers of the Key to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, the centuries-old legacy of the Al-Husseini family, and the enduring bridges between Christianity and Islam. The event will also highlight Bulgaria's own centuries-long tradition of peaceful coexistence between Christians and Muslims, founded on mutual understanding and respect. Preparations for the event are now underway, after which invitations will be extended to the Bulgarian community in Qatar and to Qatari friends of Bulgaria.
