شاركت دولة قطر، ممثَلةً بوزارة المالية ومصرف قطر المركزي، في اجتماع وزراء المالية ومحافظي البنوك المركزية ورؤساء المؤسسات المالية الإقليمية في منطقة الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا وأفغانستان وباكستان (MENAP). وذلك على هامش مشاركتها في الاجتماعات السنوية لصندوق النقد الدولي ومجموعة البنك الدولي التي تعقد خلال الفترة من 12إلى 18 أكتوبر 2026 في مدينة بانكوك بمملكة تايلاند.

شارك سعادة السيد علي بن أحمد الكواري، وزير المالية، وسعادة الشيخ بندر بن محمد بن سعود آل ثاني، محافظ مصرف قطر المركزي، والوفد المرافق لهما في الاجتماع الذي عقد برئاسة السيدة كريستالينا جورجيفا، المدير العام لصندوق النقد الدولي. وحضر الاجتماع عدد من وزراء المالية ومحافظي البنوك المركزية ورؤساء المؤسسات المالية الإقليمية لمنطقة الشرق الأوسط، وشمال أفريقيا، وأفغانستان وباكستان.

The State of Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Finance and the Qatar Central Bank, participated in the Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors (FMCBG) meeting, which included heads of regional financial institutions in the Middle East, North Africa, Afghanistan and Pakistan (MENAP) region. The meeting, which came as part of Qatar’s participation in the Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group (WBG) held on 12-18, October 2026 in Bangkok, Kingdom of Thailand.

HE Mr Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, Minister of Finance, and HE Sheikh Bandar bin Mohammed bin Saoud Al Thani, Governor of the Qatar Central Bank, and their accompanying delegation participated in the meeting, which was chaired by Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund. The meeting was attended by several finance ministers, central bank governors, and heads of regional financial institutions in the MENAP region.

HE Mr Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari Minister of Finance met with, HE Dame Susan Langley, Lord Mayor of the City of London, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Finance.

The meetings focused on bilateral relations were reviewed and aspects of co-operation were discussed.

ترأس الدكتور سعود بن عبدالله العطية، وكيل الوزارة المساعد للشؤون الاقتصادية بوزارة المالية، وفد دولة قطر المشارك في أعمال الاجتماع العاشر للجنة التحضيرية الدائمة على المستوى الوزاري لهيئة الشؤون الاقتصادية والتنموية بدول مجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية، والذي عُقد في مدينة المنامة بمملكة البحرين، بحضور أصحاب السعادة الوزراء بدول المجلس.

وشهد الاجتماع استعراض عدد من الموضوعات الاقتصادية والتنموية، ومناقشة الخطط والمبادرات الاستراتيجية الرامية إلى تعزيز التكامل الاقتصادي والتنموي بين دول المجلس، إلى جانب متابعة تنفيذ القرارات والتوصيات، وبحث سبل تعزيز التعاون الاقتصادي الخليجي المشترك.

Dr Saud bin Abdullah Al-Attiyah, Deputy Undersecretary for Economic Affairs, headed the State of Qatar’s delegation participating in the tenth meeting of the Permanent Preparatory Committee at Ministerial Level of the GCC Economic and Development Affairs Authority. The meeting was held in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain, in the presence of Their Excellencies the ministers of the GCC member states.

The meeting reviewed several priority economic and development issues and discussed strategic plans and initiatives aimed at enhancing economic and development integration among GCC member states. It also addressed follow-up on the implementation of decisions and recommendations and explored ways to strengthen joint Gulf economic cooperation.

ومثّل دولة قطر في الاجتماع سعادة السيد علي بن أحمد الكواري، وزير المالية، وسعادة الشيخ بندر بن محمد بن سعود آل ثاني، محافظ مصرف قطر المركزي.
وناقش الاجتماع عدداً من الموضوعات المالية والاقتصادية، وفي مقدمتها الآفاق الاقتصادية لدول مجلس التعاون وأولويات السياسات في ظل التطورات والاضطرابات الجيوسياسية التي تشهدها المنطقة، والتحديات الناجمة عنها على الاقتصادات الخليجية.

The State of Qatar participated in the joint meeting of Their Excellencies the Ministers of Finance and Governors of Central Banks of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries with Her Excellency Kristalina Georgieva, Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), held today in Manama.
Qatar was represented at the meeting by His Excellency Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, Minister of Finance, and His Excellency Sheikh Bandar bin Mohammed bin Saoud Al Thani, Governor of Qatar Central Bank.
The meeting discussed a number of financial and economic issues, most notably the economic outlook for the GCC countries and policy priorities amid the geopolitical developments and disruptions in the region, as well as the challenges they pose to Gulf economies.

His Excellency Mr Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, Minister of Finance, led the State of Qatar’s delegation participating in the 126th meeting of the Committee of Ministers of Finance and Economic Affairs of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) States.The meeting was held today in Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain, in the presence of Their Excellencies the Ministers of Finance of the GCC Member States.
During the meeting, the outcomes of the GCC Central Bank Governors Committee meeting, the meetings of the GCC Customs Union Authority, the meeting of the Committee of Heads and Directors of Tax Departments in the GCC member states, and the meeting of the GCC Common Market Committee were reviewed.
