Ajudar os Cavalos a Proteger Portugal dos Incêndios!

Todos os verões, os nossos bombeiros enfrentam as chamas com coragem e dedicação, arriscando as suas vidas para proteger florestas, casas e comunidades. O seu trabalho é heróico — mas não podem fazer tudo sozinhos.

No Cavalos Bombeiros, acreditamos que a prevenção deve caminhar lado a lado com a proteção.
Os nossos cavalos pastam naturalmente, reduzindo o mato seco e criando faixas de descontinuidade que travam a propagação dos incêndios. São verdadeiros bombeiros da natureza.

Com o apoio da comunidade, queremos aumentar a nossa manada e garantir 50 hectares de novos terrenos de pastagem em Portugal Central. Assim, protegemos mais floresta, promovemos a biodiversidade e continuamos o nosso trabalho de terapia e educação através dos cavalos.

🔥 Os bombeiros continuarão sempre a ser os nossos heróis — mas a verdadeira segurança começa antes do fogo. Precisamos de agir juntos, pessoas e animais, para cuidar da terra e prevenir futuras tragédias.

HELP CAVALOS BOMBEIROS - URGENT FIRE PREVENTION PROJECT IN PORTUGAL
A Safe Space for Nature, Horses & People in Portugal

We have a one-time opportunity to acquire this amazing abandoned farm in Central Portugal.

This land will be used expand our current Cavalos Bombeiros project and bring it to another level.

We need to fence the land. We have several requests to adopt more horses, but we need more space.
We also want to create immediate accommodation for people in need and for volunteers supporting our project!

We want to bring Back Water
Begin restoration to clean the old levadas (water channels) and revive the natural landscape.

The threat of fire is constant. Getting the herd onto the property as quickly as possible is the best way to ensure the land's safety for the next fire season.

This sanctuary is a living model for regeneration, tackling three critical challenges at once:

This will be the permanent base for our existing herd, and we will be able to welcome more endangered Garrano ponies.
Managed grazing naturally creates firebreaks, protecting nature, communities, and lives.

We will restore water sources and traditional farming with respect for the ecosystem.
Through research and education, the Cavalos Bombeiros model will grow and expand far beyond this sanctuary.

We also wish to expand the Cavalos Bombeiros program, offering equine-assisted learning, accommodation, and mental health support to young people in need.
