Exposição PEQUENOS BARTOs, inserida no projeto “BARTOLOMEU CID DOS SANTOS E A GRAVURA NAS ESCOLAS DE TAVIRA”.
O projeto dinamiza-se em várias fases e está em execução desde fevereiro passado, envolvendo 10 professores e 10 turmas do Agrupamento de Escolas D. Manuel I e do Agrupamento de Escolas Dr. Jorge Augusto Correia. É o resultado de uma frutuosa parceria entre diversas entidades da região e da autoria da Associação OBS – Oficina Bartolomeu dos Santos (Tavira), sendo cofinanciado pela Câmara Municipal de Tavira e pelo CFAE Levante Algarvio através do Programa Algarve 2030.
A exposição apresenta um magnífico conjunto de obras dos alunos – cerca de 300 gravuras, realizadas com a técnica de ponta seca em Tetra Pak. Este momento constitui mais uma oportunidade para dar visibilidade ao trabalho artístico, colaborativo e intergeracional desenvolvido pelas nossas escolas, envolvendo alunos, professores e artistas plásticos, bem como celebrar o legado do grande artista de renome mundial, Bartolomeu Cid dos Santos, que marcou indelevelmente Tavira nos seus últimos anos de vida.
Exhibition PEQUENOS BARTOs, which forms part of the project “BARTOLOMEU CID DOS SANTOS AND ENGRAVING IN THE SCHOOLS OF TAVIRA”.
The project is being rolled out in several phases and has been underway since last February, involving 10 teachers and 10 classes from the D. Manuel I School Group and the Dr. Jorge Augusto Correia School Group. It is the result of a fruitful partnership between various organisations in the region and is organised by the OBS Association – Oficina Bartolomeu dos Santos (Tavira), and is co-funded by Tavira Municipal Council and the CFAE Levante Algarvio through the Algarve 2030 Programme.
The exhibition presents a magnificent collection of the pupils’ works – around 300 prints, created using the drypoint technique on Tetra Pak. This event provides yet another opportunity to showcase the artistic, collaborative and intergenerational work carried out by our schools, involving pupils, teachers and visual artists, as well as to celebrate the legacy of the world-renowned artist Bartolomeu Cid dos Santos, who left an indelible mark on Tavira during the final years of his life.
