🇵🇹 Que semana incrível, marcada por muita energia e emoção! 🌟
A nossa querida Inès terminou o seu projeto na Cruz Vermelha Portuguesa | Sanguedo e a despedida aconteceu numa inesquecível festa de praia em Matosinhos. ⛱️ Foi a despedida perfeita! ❤️
Entretanto, resultados concretos do trabalho árduo dos últimos meses: celebrámos a grande inauguração da Loja Solidária da Cruz Vermelha Portuguesa de Espinho! Ver o espaço transformado e pronto para receber a comunidade foi um marco de orgulho para todos nós. 🛍️✨ A nossa missão não parou por aí: continuámos a apoiar a Centro Social P. José Coelho e a dar uma ajuda na Back to Basic. Ficámos também muito felizes por ver os nossos voluntários a concretizarem os seus próprios projetos pessoais ao longo da semana! 🌊
A Irene, o Dario e a Angelica cuidaram da nossa costa marítima, realizando uma limpeza na praia de Espinho. 🐾 A Zoe e a Sofia focaram-se em apoiar a .pt com uma banca dedicada à associação animal, no “Sanguedo em Festa”, sensibilizando a comunidade para a causa.

🇬🇧 What an incredible week, full of energy and emotion! 🌟
We officially said goodbye to our dear Ines, who wrapped up her project with an unforgettable beach party in Matosinhos! ⛱️ It was the perfect send-off! ❤️
Meanwhile, we saw the tangible results of months of hard work as we celebrated the grand opening of the Portuguese Red Cross Solidarity Store in Espinho! Seeing the space transformed and ready to welcome the community was a proud milestone for all of us. 🛍️✨
Our mission didn’t stop there: we continued supporting Centro Social P. José Coelho and also lent a helping hand at Back to Basic. We were also delighted to see our volunteers bringing their own personal projects to life throughout the week! 🌊
Irene, Dario, and Angelica took care of our coastline by carrying out a beach clean-up in Espinho. 🐾 Meanwhile, Zoe and Sofia focused on supporting .pt with an information stand dedicated to the animal welfare association at “Sanguedo em Festa”, helping to raise awareness for the cause within the community.

🇵🇹 Esta semana estivemos em menor número, já que a Angelica e o Luca participaram na segunda formação do ESC, em Viseu. Entretanto, o Riccardo embarcou numa aventura incrível ao percorrer o Trilho dos Pescadores, caminhando uns impressionantes 20 km por dia! 🥾🌊
De volta a Sanguedo e Espinho, estivemos ocupados a afixar cartazes para os dois eventos que estamos a organizar. Juntem-se a nós no Sanguedo em Festa para saber mais sobre a Aanifeira e não percam a nossa limpeza da Praia de Espinho, no dia 16 de junho! 🌍💙
Continuámos também a dedicar o nosso tempo aos projetos Back to Basic e Aanifeira, onde cada ajuda faz realmente a diferença.
Durante o feriado, tivemos a oportunidade de visitar a bela cidade de Guimarães juntamente com voluntários da Cruz Vermelha de Braga, Cruz Vermelha de Guimarães e da Rosto Solidário. ❤️
Para terminar esta semana fantástica da melhor forma, celebrámos o 20.º aniversário do Dario! 🎂🎉

🇬🇧We were a bit outnumbered this week, as Angelica and Luca participated in the second ESC training in Viseu. Meanwhile, Riccardo embarked on an incredible adventure, completing the Fishermen’s Trail with an impressive 20 km of walking each day! 🥾🌊
Back in Sanguedo and Espinho, we were busy putting up posters for the two events we’re hosting. Join us at Sanguedo em Festa to learn more about Aanifeira, and don’t miss our Espinho Beach Clean-Up on June 16th! 🌍💙
We also continued to dedicate our time to Back to Basic and Aanifeira, where every helping hand makes a real difference.
During the holiday, we had the opportunity to visit the beautiful city of Guimarães alongside volunteers from the Red Cross Braga, Red Cross Guimarães, and Rosto Solidário. ❤️
To wrap up this wonderful week, we celebrated Dario’s 20th birthday! 🎂🎉

🇵🇹 Mais uma semana passou a voar, o tempo parece realmente estar a passar cada vez mais depressa!
Esta semana trouxe algumas partidas: a Zoe e a Inès viajaram para Viseu para participar numa formação, uma importante oportunidade de crescimento e aprendizagem. ✈️📚
Entretanto, as nossas atividades continuaram a todo o v***r! Passámos algum tempo na Loja Solidária, onde estamos a começar a acolher cada vez mais pessoas. Recebemos muitas novas doações de roupa e ficámos também felizes por realizar uma venda. 👕🛍️
Continuamos a dar apoio no jardim de infância e a participar em atividades de limpeza das praias, contribuindo diariamente para a comunidade e para o ambiente. 🌱🏖️
Esta manhã, estivemos também a trabalhar no abrigo de animais da Aanifeira, que precisa cada vez mais de ajuda e apoio. 🐾❤️

🇬🇧 Another week has flown by, time really seems to be flying these days!
This week brought a few departures: Zoe and Inès traveled to Viseu for a training course, an important opportunity for growth and learning. ✈️📚
Meanwhile, our activities have continued! We spent time at the solidarity shop, where we are starting to welcome more and more people. We received many new clothing donations and were also happy to make a sale. 👕🛍️
We continue to provide support at the kindergarten and take part in beach clean-up activities, contributing every day to the community and the environment. 🌱🏖️
Then we also work at .pt, which is in increasing need of help and support. 🐾❤️

🇵🇹 Começámos a semana participar num evento organizado pela , onde ajudámos a limpar a Praia de Monte Branco 🌊🧤 Depois, juntámo-nos a outros voluntários do ESC num agradável piquenique na praia ☀️ Finalmente conseguimos ver o resultado de todo o trabalho que dedicámos à reorganização da loja solidária de Espinho — e ela está quase pronta para a grande inauguração daqui a 2 semanas! 🛍️✨ No domingo passado, passámos um dia em cheio no para celebrar o Dia da Família. Fizemos pinturas faciais, enchemos balões e adorámos ver as crianças a preparar o espetáculo de fim de ano com dança e música 🎨🎈💃🎶

🇬🇧 We started the week by taking part in an event organised by , where we helped clean up Monte Branco Beach 🌊🧤
Afterwards, we joined other ESC volunteers for a lovely picnic by the beach under the sun ☀️
We also finally got to see the results of all the hard work we put into reorganising the solidarity shop in Espinho — and it’s almost ready for its grand opening in just 2 weeks! 🛍️✨
Last Sunday, we had an amazing day at celebrating Family Day. We did face painting, blew up balloons, and loved watching the children prepare their end-of-year performance with dancing and music 🎨🎈💃🎶

🇵🇹Esta semana estivemos a trabalhar na universidade sénior, montamos mobiliário e livramo-nos do antigo🪑🛋️. Com o aumento das temperaturas, isto tornou-se mesmo num treino intenso, mas aproveitámos cada momento☀️! Também limpámos e reorganizámos os materiais da sala de aula para que os alunos se possam dedicar ainda melhor nas suas aulas👩‍🎨.
Na terça e quinta-feira, explorámos novas praias, Cortegaça e Praia de Esmoriz, onde apanhámos lixo para ajudar a preparar as praias para o verão🌊🏖️. Na .pt , cada pormenor é importante, como limpar as ferramentas e as taças de comida🐈🐶. As crianças do ficaram entusiasmadas por criar arte, e nós ficámos muito felizes por participar e apoiar a sua criatividade👧👦! Estamos entusiasmados para ver o que a próxima semana nos reserva!

🇬🇧This week, we worked at the senior university, assembling new furniture and getting rid of the old pieces 🪑🛋️. With the temperatures rising, it definitely turned into quite an intense workout, but we enjoyed every moment ☀️! We also cleaned and reorganized the classroom materials so the students can focus even better on their classes 👩‍🎨.
On Tuesday and Thursday, we explored new beaches — Cortegaça and Praia de Esmoriz — where we collected litter to help get the beaches ready for summer 🌊🏖️. At .pt , every little detail matters, from cleaning the tools to washing the food bowls 🐈🐶. The children at were excited to create art, and we were so happy to take part and support their creativity 👧👦! We’re excited to see what next week has in store for us!

🇵🇹 Enquanto a Inès e a Angelica passaram metade da semana em formação no Porto, aprendendo técnicas para manterem a motivação e praticarem a empatia 🌈❤️, o resto do grupo organizou roupa 👗🧥🩳 na Cruz Vermelha Portuguesa de Espinho. O objetivo? Arrumar o espaço e torná-lo novamente acessível ao público.
Ainda nesta semana, após limparmos a parede do 🦃, chegou finalmente a altura de a pintar de branco.
Também foi ótimo passarmos algum tempo com os gatos 🐈 e os cães 🐕 na .pt , aproveitando com eles o ar livre neste regresso do bom tempo.
Dedicámos ainda uma tarde à distribuição de flyers em Santa Maria da Feira e Sandim. Se encontraste o nosso flyer na tua caixa de correio…há um gesto que muda a vida de alguém! 🥰

🇬🇧 While Inès and Angelica spent half of the week attending a training course in Porto, learning techniques to stay motivated and practise empathy 🌈❤️, the rest of the group organised clothing 👗🧥🩳 at the Portuguese Red Cross in Espinho. The goal? To tidy up the space and make it accessible to the public once again.
Later that week, after cleaning the wall at Zoo Lourosa 🦃, it was finally time to paint it white.
We also enjoyed spending some time with the cats 🐈 and dogs 🐕 at AANIFEIRA, making the most of the fresh air and the return of the good weather.
We also dedicated one afternoon to distributing flyers in Santa Maria da Feira and Sandim. If you found one of our flyers in your mailbox…remember, there’s a gesture that can change someone’s life! 🥰

🇵🇹 Estes últimos dias foram repletos de diversão, partilha e entusiasmo!
Organizámos um almoço especial na Universidade Sénior da , em conjunto com , .braganca e .guimaraes. 🍽️ Todos confecionámos deliciosos pratos tradicionais dos nossos países para os alunos da nossa Universidade Sénior num dia absolutamente comovente. Passámos ainda algum tempo a jogar bingo, partilhando muitas risadas e momentos felizes. 🎱✨
Na restante semana, continuámos as nossas atividades habituais na Loja Solidária, onde tivemos uma aula de português com a Paula. 🇵🇹📚
Visitámos o Mercado Solidário da e conhecemos voluntários da área social! 🤝
Já no , brincámos com as crianças e os idosos.
Para tornar esta última semana ainda mais especial, viajámos juntos até à Madeira 🌊☀️🌴, criando memórias inesquecíveis enquanto grupo de jovens neste projeto! ✈️

🇬🇧 These past few days have been filled with fun, sharing, and excitement!
We held a special lunch at the Senior University of , together with , .braganca and .guimaraes. 🍽️ Everyone prepared delicious traditional dishes from our countries for the students of the Senior University, making it an incredibly heartwarming day. We also spent some time playing bingo, sharing lots of laughter and happy moments. 🎱✨
During the rest of the week, we continued our usual activities at the Charity Shop, where we had a Portuguese lesson with Paula. 🇵🇹📚
We visited the Solidarity Market of and met volunteers working in the social sector! 🤝
At , we spent time playing and interacting with both children and elderly people.
To make this final week even more special, we travelled together to Madeira 🌊☀️🌴, creating unforgettable memories as a group of young people taking part in this project! ✈️

🇵🇹 Esta semana foi repleta de momentos marcantes! ✨
Praticámos o nosso português com uma breve apresentação em vídeo, graças à ajuda da Paula na Loja Solidária da . A 22 de abril, para celebrar o Dia da Terra, juntámo-nos aos voluntários da para, em conjunto, limparmos as ruas. 🌍🗑️
Fizemos novos amigos pelo caminho e descobrimos mais sobre a gastronomia portuguesa com um merecido lanche. No limpámos o recinto do casuar, ave frequentemente considerada uma das mais perigosas do mundo (admitimos, foi assustador!). 🦤 Na .pt pintámos e reorganizámos o espaço para acolhermos as crianças neste verão. Descobrimos também as ruelas de Sanguedo, perfeitas para relaxar a mente após um longo dia de atividades!🚶🏽

We practiced our Portuguese with a short video presentation, thanks to Paula’s help at the solidarity store. On April 22nd, to celebrate Earth Day, we joined volunteers from to clean up the streets together. 🌍🗑️
Along the way, we made new friends and discovered more about Portuguese cuisine over a well-deserved snack. At , we cleaned the cage of the cassowary, often considered one of the most dangerous birds in the world (we admit, it was a bit scary!). 🦤 At .pt , we painted and rearranged the space to welcome children this summer.
We also explored the charming streets of Sanguedo, perfect for clearing your mind after a long day! 🚶🏽

🇵🇹 Esta semana começamos uma nova colaboração com a delegação de Espinho da Cruz Vermelha Portuguesa, ajudando-os a reorganizar a Loja Solidária. 👗👖
Ainda em Espinho, dedicamo-nos à causa ambiental e recolhemos o lixo na praia. 🍃🗑️
No , encarregamo-nos da higienização dos pássaros. Eles agradecem! 🦚🪶
Já no , fizemos a limpeza do parque de diversões infantil…mas também guardamos tempo para nos divertirmos com as crianças e os idosos! Juntos, jogámos Dominó, mas eles tinham mais experiência do que nós e derrotaram-nos!
Na .pt  vimos as cabras pequenas crescerem 🐐 e ajudamos na renovação da quinta. No final, fomos para a .pt cuidar dos cães e dos gatos 🐶🐈‍⬛, por quem nos estamos a afeiçoar cada vez mais!

🇬🇧 This week, we began a new collaboration with the Portuguese Red Cross of Espinho, helping them reorganize their Charity Shop. 👗👖
Still in Espinho, we dedicated time to the environmental cause by picking up the trash on the beach. 🍃🗑️
At , we were responsible for cleaning and caring for the birds. And they were very grateful! 🦚🪶
At , we cleaned the children’s playground…but we also made sure to have some fun with the kids and the elderly! Together, we played dominoes, although they had far more experience than us and beat us!
At .pt , we saw the baby goats grow 🐐 and we helped restyling the farm. In the end, we went to .pt to take care of the dogs and cats 🐶🐈‍⬛, and we’re getting more and more attached to them!
