Foi um privilégio assistir às atuações da soprano australiana Siobhan Stagg e do violetista australiano Paul Tulloch no âmbito do Festival de Música Hortênsia, em Angra do Heroísmo. O Festival contou igualmente com a interpretação de obras do compositor indígena australiano Aaron Wyatt.

Os concertos e masterclasses de elevada qualidade artística continuam a inspirar as novas gerações de músicos e a contribuir para o enriquecimento da vida cultural dos Açores.

A Embaixada felicita os organizadores por mais uma edição de sucesso do Festival e por assinalarem, através da música, os estreitos laços que unem a Austrália e Portugal. 🇦🇺🇵🇹

It was a privilege to attend performances by Australian soprano Siobhan Stagg and Australian violist Paul Tulloch during the Hortênsia Music Festival in the city of Angra do Heroísmo. The Festival also included music by Indigenous Australian composer Aaron Wyatt.

Outstanding concerts and masterclasses continue to inspire the next generation of musicians and enrich the cultural life of the Azores.

Memory of Palestine (Lembrança da Palestina) is an exhibition by Portuguese artist Vítor Pomar. It is on display at the Torreão Nascente of the Cordoaria Nacional in Lisbon until 13 September 2026.

The exhibition offers an artistic reflection on Palestine through 12 large-scale paintings. The works are accompanied by images from the creative process and a conversation between Vítor Pomar and ChatGPT.

In early September, a guided visit included an opportunity to hear directly from the artist about the conception and development of the exhibition. Our sincere thanks to the Belém Parish Council for the invitation.

Lembrança da Palestina, do artista português Vítor Pomar, encontra-se patente ao público no Torreão Nascente da Cordoaria Nacional, em Lisboa, até 13 de setembro de 2026.

A exposição propõe uma reflexão artística sobre a Palestina através de doze pinturas de grande formato. As obras são acompanhadas por imagens do processo criativo e por uma conversa entre Vítor Pomar e o ChatGPT.

No início de setembro, realizou-se uma visita guiada que proporcionou aos participantes a oportunidade de ouvir diretamente o artista sobre a conceção e o desenvolvimento da exposição. Os nossos sinceros agradecimentos à Junta de Freguesia de Belém pelo convite.

Australian Defence Force (ADF) students undertake intensive language training in Portugal as part of their studies. The program also provides valuable insights into Portuguese history and culture. Language training helps prepare participants for future missions in countries of the Community of Portuguese Language Countries (CPLP).

Os alunos das Forças de Defesa Australianas (ADF) recebem formação intensiva em língua portuguesa em Portugal como parte do seu percurso de estudos. O programa proporciona também uma valiosa compreensão da história e da cultura portuguesas. Esta formação linguística ajuda a preparar os participantes para futuras missões nos países da Comunidade dos Países de Língua Portuguesa (CPLP).
