Maria do Céu Antunes stresses ′′ the growth in agricultural production of around 11 %, which, even in the face of increases in production factors, resulted in increased added value, only possible thanks to gains of efficiency ".

At the end of the morning, the Secretary of State closed the first part of the Seminar ′′ Baixo Alentejo | Sustainable Territory ", powered by CIM Baixo Alentejo under the project ′′ Living the Climate in Baixo Alentejo ", developed in partnership with the EDIA.
In this context, Rui Martinho said that ′′ it is essential to bet on the sustainability of our agriculture, bringing innovation and integrating more knowledge. The Innovation Agenda and will be important instruments in strengthening the adoption of practices that contribute to biodiversity protection, efficient use of resources, and sustainable and active management of the territory ".

The Secretary of State for Agriculture and Rural Development, Rui Martinho, was today at the Beja Polytechnic Institute, where he visited his laboratories, which provide various services to the academic environment and businesses in the sector. This visit also represented an opportunity to contact students and scholarships dedicated to projects in the areas of circular economy, water quality, cereal production and hydroponics.
Here, the ruler also participated in the plantation of a multifunctional hedge at the Hortofruticola Center. This was a moment that it intended to illustrate and project the key role of farmers in conserving the environment and natural resources, thus ensuring more in farming activity.

Minister of Agriculture, Maria do Céu Antunes, was in Évora this morning on an initiative in the framework of the National Regadios Program.
During the initiative, conclusions were presented from the study requested to EDIA, through which lifting investment needs and potential for developing efficient collective regadio throughout the national territory.
The conclusions of this study will support the definition of the 20 | 30 strategy of the National Regadios Program. And, in view of the future, the ruler has announced several instruments that will be key to achieving the goals set.
′′ Today we take an important step by announcing € 197 M for strengthening investment in regadio and we have a strategy supported in facts. With the 3. th EIB Notice worth € 127 M, which will be opened on January 10, 2022, we concluded the first stage of this programme, associated with an investment of € 560 E, with The warnings we will be making available next December 20, under the RDP 2020, with a global value of 70 M €, we are already looking at the future of the regadio in Portugal ", Maria do Céu Antunes stressed.

We are pleased to share that Purok Blessing of Brgy. 167 of Caloocan is now connected to the Maynilad Water Services, Inc. line.
For 24 years, 141 urban poor families of the said area have endured the delivery of expensive water drums every month. They used to spend nearly Php 1,920 per month. Now that they're connected to Maynilad, they're estimated to spend about Php 130 only for the same volume of water they used to consume before.
′′ I have been living here since 1989, and we have experienced asking and fetching water. So thankful that we also have water through Maynilad." said Aling Ederlina dela Cruz, a resident.
