Fateh is the leading Palestinian National Liberation Movement created 1965 to lead the struggle against the Israeli military occupation. Its original goal was the creation of a secular democratic state in historic Palestine where Moslems, Christians and Jews can live together on equal footing in peace and harmony. Nowadays, Fateh adopts the political program of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) and the Palestinian National Authority calling for the creation of a Palestinian independent state on the territories occupied by Israel since 1967 with East Jerusalem as its Capital (Two-State Solution). The International Relations Commission (IRC) is headed since September 2009 by Dr. Nabeel Shaath, member of the Central Committee of “Fateh”, the highest executive body of the Movement. The role of the (IRC) is to promote relations with the different political parties, liberation movements, friendly states and NGOs on Arab and international levels in order to enhance solidarity with the cause of peace and justice in the Middle East. The (IRC) is dedicated to promote and disseminate the discourse of peace and justice in the region. Its role is to rally all political forces of the peace loving nations around the world to put an end to the Israeli military occupation and expansion in order to enable the Palestinian people to obtain their rights for freedom and independence. The (IRC) operates in the framework of the international legality and in conformity with all UN and Security Council Resolutions pertaining to the Palestine question and the Middle East Conflict. The (IRC) entertains a wide range of solid political relations with different political forces, parties, states and civil society organizations all over the world. It enjoys the respect of all political forces struggling against foreign domination and fighting for their freedom and independence. Our message to the world is: The Israeli-Palestinian conflict has been going on for too long, it is the mother of all conflicts in the Middle East. It is time for the international community to break the silence and rise up against the forces of oppression and arrogance in order to put an end to the endless sufferings of the Palestinian people.
